Image is super clear and not hazy at all. It works very well as described, however the one push function button cable isn’t long enough to reach the front dash (only about 10 ft). The video cable was about 20 feet, which was barely enough, very little play left when I ran it under the driver side of the truck through the wheel wells. I installed the camera in my tailgate and used the function button cable to set it up the lines and image angle as needed, and then I unplugged it from the camera to finish the install. The settings saved fine when I turned off the engine and when I unplug the camera as well, I didn’t need to use the button anymore. It appears it has some kind of memory that persists after it loses power. In short- once you set the camera view settings/lines/distance/angle, you won’t need to use the button anymore. The button cable looks to be proprietary and I couldn’t find an extension through amazon. So unless you really feel like wanting to change the view settings after you install it, the button isn’t necessary after initial setup. That does concern me a bit, as I would need to take apart my tail gate to plug in the function cable to adjust the settings if needed. But as of this post, I haven’t needed to. The rest of the install is like any other reverse camera. Easy peasy. Nonetheless, it serves its purpose. The camera comes with a controller, long enough to reach the driver's seat and so I was able to look at the monitor and make the necessary adjustments for the OSD (On-Screen Display). Options include turning parking guide lines on or off, line angle adjustments, as well as horizontal and vertical view adjustments.
