Can’t fit the toggles into the caravan rails can they be squashed or do I have choose another type?

On our caravan we had to put the toggles in from the top rail opening of the awning rail on the side that doesn’t have the awning on it but they fitted from the bottom on the awning side. This was on a swift 2021 Vogue Grande.

I currently i have a swift sprite major eb4 caravan and wanted to know which size cover to order the 7ft or the 8ft , please advise

We have the same van just tried fitting it but we can’t get the toggles into the awning rails.
