Really easy to use and feels sturdy

Powerful machine a good replacement for my petrol strimmer. No messing with petrol and oil. Battery life good - make sure you have a spare. You get about 1 hour of use if you have a spare battery. The only downside is the instructions, very poor, but YouTube has a video on assembly. One other thing, a metal rod fell out of the box, no instructions on what is was for. I worked it out it’s for tightening up the strimmer head.

Can't fault it, still on the same spool of cutting material after more than a year and the adjustable length of the pole is a game changer, never had a strimmer that could do that before. I have a medium/large garden with a lot of weird edges and this gets it all done on one battery with enough power left over to use the blower too.

I bought this strimmer earlier in the year as something that can cope with fairly heavy duty strimming and it has done the job - the dual cord and wide arc works well and it is light enough for me to use. However, 4 months in I have run out of cord and have been told by Stanley support that the only way to restring it is to buy a full reel and cover at the cost of around £35 which means a £170 machine is going to cost me £100 a year to keep in use. Would definitely not have bought this if I had known and my strong advice to anyone looking to buy a strimmer is to try to buy a second reel of cord before finalising your purchase - if it is expensive or difficult to find a supplier (there is only one possible supplier I can use for my replacement cord reel) walk away from the strimmer you are considering.

Usual rugged Stanley construction but nice and light and powerful enough in use. It is however a real faff putting the plastic cover on the bottom when the screws dont fit and the so called bump system wastes a lot of string and replacing the string is a real nightmare. Even my professional gardener struggled

Nice and light to use, have used now for a couple of weeks and have got used to the handling and must say it works extremely well, cuts long grass quickly and also thick weeds, struggles with bramble but expect that, good battery life for tool as use down allotment and does most of area, can honestly say best tool on the shed now, also have the hedge trimmer of the same brand and that worked so well I decided to go for the strimmer

It's a strong strimmer and good product in that it's well made and works well however I DO NOT recommend buying this strimmer. The problem is when you need to replace the spool line, you cannot purchase a replacement spool line unless you purchase the carrier as well. The cost is £34.99 and that's just 1 spool line!!! Unless you are happy to pay £34.99 every time you need to replace the spool line, do not buy this strimmer.
