Govee Envisual LED Backlights for 75-85 inch TVs, 16.4ft RGBIC WiFi DreamView T1 TV Backlights with Camera, Works with Alexa & Google Assistant, App Control, LED Lights Scene Mode, H6199

I initially got this after taking a look at a couple of Youtube reviews and comparisons between this and some well-known name brand similar products; which actually don't do what I was looking for. After taking the plunge and purchasing this product, I went to work setting it up. It takes about 3-5 minutes ( and I have a 55" curved TV, which I hoped wouldn't have been an issue). You just follow the very simple setup directions after downloading the app on your phone... put the orange squares on the denoted areas around the outer perimeter of your TV, hook up the Camera and control box... and you are ready to set up. I initially got this to play PC games on my Curved TV and later found out that we all should have backlighting on our TV's' ; as without it, we are in all reality - actually causing harm to our eyes over time. The response and reaction time was just as I had seen in several Youtube Videos ( super fast and immersive as well as you have the ability to sync it up with music you are playing via Bluetooth. There are many great built-in FX as well as a brightness control and custom scenes/mods to choose from. Once I had this configured, I linked it to my Google Home and Google Assistant. Now all I have to do is tell Google Assistant when I want it off/on as well as what brightness level I require without having to touch the app or pick up my phone, in order to control it. Then when it is time for bed... I just tell Google Assistant to "turn all TV's off" and also have the option to tell Google Home " all lights out " and just like that.... we are good to go to bed without having to worry about strictly having to rely on a hand-held digital device to operate the control application. Very a reasonably priced device compared to other similar products and it has worked flawlessly so far - I could not be happier with my purchase! [ I actually want to add more to it and the Govee lighting systems they manufacture. Love at first sight. It even, helped a good friend while they were here as they generally become and or are sensitive to many of my very bright smart bulbs; which made a major difference when they come to visit. The immersive real-time background color that follows whatever you are watching on your TV [ movies, video games, music videos...etc]. I have wanted something just like this for a long time and I finally found the right product to fit my needs.

There are multiple products on this listing, and the reviews are a bit unclear as to which product is being talked about. So, the product I have is the "DreamView T1 H6199". Most specifically, this is NOT the v3 model with dual cameras. "People" say that the v3 product is a step backwards. The product firmware updated at first boot, and is running 1.10.05. This is installed in a 75" TCL TV, purchased a year ago. All that said... This is MUCH cooler than I was even hoping for. There are multiple modes with this controller, most folks are here because of the TV application which is what I'll focus on below. Setup is straightforward, but can be complicated by the TV being wall mounted, or heavy, or just cumbersome. I was able to use the adhesive on the strip itself (3M), and didn't need to use the (included) clips. The strip is *not* just a 4-pin LED strip. It's heavy, wrapped in a diffuser case, and segmented. There are two short segments, and two long. When you stick on the strip, start in a lower corner, then go up and around. It doesn't matter which corner, you can set that in software. The short segments fit the sides, the long ones go across. This is an excellent touch, dealing with a single solid strip is a real pain. The camera - people love to complain about that camera thing on top of the TV! Guess what? You can install it on the bottom. You set the camera position in the software. Works great. 🙃 Defining the screen to the camera will take a bit of thinking. The process makes sense, but their explanation is 'hard'. Short form... install everything; fire it up; head to calibration; ignore the "orange squares" (which I didn't receive, but you don't really need). Then, OPPOSITE of what they say, dim the room and find something bright on the TV. The calibration interface will show you a still image of what the camera sees. You'll define each corner of the TV screen as shown in the image, then the top middle. With the room dark, and the TV bright, the image will be fairly clear in the interface. Drag each of the dots to each of the corners, then set the extra middle dot to the top-middle of the screen. Hit the REFRESH button to check your work. It's VERY important that you set the dots to the screen, not just the whole frame of the interface. *** REMEMBER - if you mounted the camera at the bottom of the TV, the image will be upside down. When you set that "top" dot, it'll look backwards in the interface. Flipping your phone upside isn't cheating. Lol From there, be sure that the software is on TV mode, and give it a run! Remember that you can adjust brightness, saturation, and color balance. Don't leave them at defaults! You won't like the results. Past that - The controller has different modes, including scene, color wash, and a music mode... There's a lot here! Different effects for the modes! DIY options! A point about "off" - a couple of folks have talked about the unit not really turning off-off, there's always a glow. The firmware I'm running supports a feature where you can set a true OFF. It's triggered by (their words) "the hue not changing for a period of time", and it works GREAT. This is smarter than just looking for a static screen, it really is the hue. For example, the Roku screensaver scrolls, but the hue is generally the same. This controller will catch that and turn OFF. It'll come back on automatically when the screen (hue!) changes. No need for weird power configurations. This does the job just fine. In use - man, it's cool. The effect is much more pleasing than I thought it would be. I made the statement to someone the other day "if I turn it off, I don't like it". It's on all the time now, turning it off makes me see the white wall. Ewww. Keep in mind this isn't extending your screen, it's flooding the wall with relative color. There are 16 segments in the cable, so 16 control zones. With the diffuser casing, this does the job really well. Recommend. Remember, this is NOT the v3 model.

These LED lights are a great addition to my TV setup. They were very easy to install and stick well to the back of the TV. The colors are bright and vibrant, and they really improve the atmosphere when watching movies or playing games. The remote/app works perfectly and makes it easy to change colors, brightness, and modes. For the price, the quality is excellent. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend them.

I have enjoyed using these lights with my TV, especially at night time. I have a very thin OLED TV (LG CX) so the camera doesnt fit on top of the TV like it shows in the pictures. Instead I have it lying on my TV board facing upwards towards the TV. It is difficult to keep it in one place so I will give this 4 stars, but I definitely recommend it to people who want backlighting for their TV. There is a calibration video which is easy to find on YouTube too if you do not want to attach the foam blocks to your TV when setting it up.

El producto llegó muy bien, todo bien empaquetado y sellado totalmente nuevo, instalarlo es relativamente fácil solo siguiendo muy bien el manual, lo instalé en una pantalla Oled de 55” y quedó excelente, menciono lo de Oled porque los que tengan una y estén considerando el producto se toparán con la forma peculiar de la parte trasera de una oled donde la tira led tendrá que adaptar ciertos dobleces para cubrir la parte inferior y al igual que a mi, les preocupará que se despegue, esto por el momento no ha sido un problema pues pude adaptar bien la tira a este giro y además vienen unos fijadores que ayudarán a que no se levante la tira. La funcionalidad del seguimiento es muy buena, solo por la cuestión de que tiene un ligero retraso en los cambios de colores pero es natural por que es con cámara, exceptuando esto, el producto es asombroso y me encantó pues se ve genial es muy funcional y ya que funciona a través de la cámara, no importa si usas una u otra consola de juegos o si usas las aplicaciones de streaming en la TV el seguimiento de luz siempre funcionara, no como los de HDMI. Lo único que no me agradó es que cuando hay una pantalla totalmente oscura no atenúa ni apaga las luces, se mantienen en colores rojizos, naranjas y morados, hubiera estado muy padre que si la película, juego o lo que sea que ves tiene una pantalla oscura se apagaran para dar mas envolvimiento sin embargo, no es algo que arruine la experiencia para nada. La recomiendo al 100%

The treatment was more than wonderful and my shipment arrived exactly as described.
