Ótima introdução! Uma forma mais natural de se aprender a língua sumeriana. Um guia que nos faz ultrapassar com facilidade o início muitas vezes desanimador quando se trata de estudar de forma autodidata línguas arcaicas, mortas e exóticas como o sumeriano em sua escrita cuneiforme. Embora os autores digam que esta obra terá mais dois livros, e um deles já esteja em formato eBook Kindle (quando olhei não tinha o formato impresso e penso que o impresso nestes casos é essencial para facilitar o aprendizado), depois desta introdução podemos começar a estudar por uma gramática mais tradicional, robusta, "dura" e profunda com muito mais facilidade e êxito!  Recomendadíssimo!

Ottimo testo per imparare la lingua sumera in modo "leggero", anche per chi non ha basi di linguistica,  ho preso anche il secondo volume...buona lettura

I bought the paperback 3 years ago because I had long wanted to learn to read either Sumerian or Akkadian documents in the original and this one seemed to be gentle enough for the likes of me, a non-specialist.I was right. It goes into enough depth and detail of grammar, vocabulary and script to learn the language but not so much that it becomes an impenetrable and tedious chore. Nothing is done to hide the fact that much more remains to be learned - the book explicitly says that the second volume will go into greater detail.Volume 2 of this work arrived in my mailbox two days ago. I think that says something about how much I like the first volume.
