Safe Baby Handling Tips

I was in a bookstore, and happened upon this book. I picked it up and started to read, and began to giggle, out loud. I felt that I was being too loud, so I closed the book and put it down until I felt I was under control again. I then picked it up to read, but burst into giggles again. This happened several times. I wanted to buy the book in the store but it was kind of beat up, so I ordered from Amazon. I gave this book to my friend for her baby shower, and it was the absolute hit of the party! You know how everyone passes the presents around, "Oh, how nice, ANOTHER tube of Desitin!" "Oh, of COURSE she can use another frilly baby headband!" and no one really looks at them or cares? Well this book took about an hour to make it around the circle; its progress was punctuated with shrieks of laughter. We even called her husband in and he read it and totally cracked up. My friend says she is actually going to use the spinner on the front of the book. I think my favorite parts of the book are the "Testing Baby's Bottle", "Introducing Baby to Pets", and "Bonding With Baby", but to be honest, they are all hilarious. I read the book about 10 times before I gave it to her and I still giggled each time. I don't have any babies, but I think I might just buy this for myself for laughs. Fantastic shower gift.

This is a really funny book, and a lot of fun to give as a baby shower gift for first-time parents. The illustrations make it easy to follow directions and handle that new baby properly

I got this as a birthday gift for an expectant father. lol, it is super hilarious and was definitely the big hit gift of the party! Very funny, there needs to be a sequel!

This book is hysterical! Every new parent needs it. The only thing I would recommend is that the cover be modified into more modern parental situations. The cover says mom and dad, and not all families are made up this way. One year we modified the cover, to fit a family that had three adults raising the child. Perhaps if they had a cover that you could easily modify yourself. Other than that the book is amazingly funny, and always a hit at a baby shower.

Pretty funny book,came in good condition

Bought this fun book for my brother and his wife who recently had a baby. Thought it would be a perfect gag gift for their quirky sense of humor. Or maybe I'm the one with the quirky sense of humor and I'm just projecting onto them. Anyway, I read through this book before passing it on. Yes, you can find most/all of the illustrations online (as well as others in the same style that aren't in this book), but it's fun to have this in printed form as something you can easily pull off the shelf in times when you need some great parenting wisdom. The jokes in this book range from "heh..." to legitimately laughing out loud. This is a fairly short book and after a couple read-throughs, the jokes begin to feel familiar and tired. Perhaps that's a hint that it's time to pass the book on to someone else. Also, the plastic spinner on the front cover seems reinforced enough to not break off on its own. It's not the most precise spinning mechanism designed by man, but it too is part of the gag.

Got this for my niece and her boyfriend. Everyone at the party loved it. Good for making people laugh!

Bought it as a gift, forgot to send it, used it for myself. Boy, it is a great start, mostly covers the basic do and donts.

You need this book in your life. I have already seen that I have done my parenting wrong a couple of times by kids teething on shoes and so forth but hey, this book has steered me in the right direction. Very sad I don't have goldfish anymore to introduce to the kids... :(
