It is great. Loud as the other comments says but since it it so fast it does not really bother me. I use it to grain wheats and bake bread so it is super!

Okay... this works great. There are a few caveats that are worth mentioning. 1. It gets very hot. Quickly. Per the recommendation, I used rice the first few times to clean out any industrial byproducts (e.g., grease, oils, small metal fragments, aroma) that might have accumulated. The first time I turned it on with rice, I ran it for 1.5 minutes. This, in hindsight, was waaaay too long. The bottom of the material container got extremely hot. So hot that the rice flour started to heat fuse together into brittle shards. 2. No safety at all. When grinder is plugged in, it can activate should someone turn the switch on whether the lid is on or not. There is no other switch than the timer switch. Contrary to the product description that the lid has to be on to operate, I assure you that is not true. I was very easily able to test the blades with the lid off. Always unplug it--either from the device or the outlet when reaching into material container and keep your fingers/hands away while it operates. 3. The lid has two adjustable screw ends that help keep the lid on securely. These need adjustment after a use or two. Maybe the initial 1.5 minute usage was too much, but keep an eye on it. If the lid is not securely on, material will be pushed out over the edge and into the surround area/counter. 4. It's hard to clean--not impossible, but difficult. If you intend to use with a variety of materials, take that into consideration. There will be a slight residual left from your previous grinding material. Also, the rivets that secure the brackets and lids where the lid connects to the material container aren't 100% flush with the side of the container. This again, makes it hard to clean and will probably be a place where bacteria will form from residual material. There are several Philips head screws in the lid and in the material container. They will fill up with whatever material you grind up. A better method would be to weld the brackets to the outside and keep the material container wall smooth. Lastly, cleaning under and around the blades is very difficult too. Some materials (e.g. wheat berries or spices) will leave a residue from any moisture in them that will require cleaning off. While the top of the blades won't be difficult, underneath the blades is more problematic. I have thought that maybe removing them will be beneficial, but have not tested this idea yet. 5. Lastly, I would recommend a better brush and perhaps a small scraper. The brush provided, while useful, is not suitable for prolonged use. A positive note is that the handle end very closely matches the curvature of the material container (where the base and wall meet), which will facilitate removing caked-on material. Again, somethings to consider, but really, it does work very well. Grind your material in short bursts and give it a period to cool down. You'll probably spend more time cleaning than grinding.
