So glad I was able to find this company after having bought our original knives so many years ago. Decided to get rid of our mismatched other steak knives and just get more of these. They are solid feeling and well balanced. Attractive mirror finish blades with satin finish on the handles so no finger prints. My old set of four held their edge for decades but now are showing their age a little so this new set will replace them. Of course the serrated edges cannot be sharpened at home and I don't think it would be worth the cost to sharpen the old ones. There is no flat side to the serrated blades which is why these knives cut so beautifully. I'll keep the old ones wrapped in case we have company and need more on the table. These knives are sharp, and you would be well advised to be careful when washing or handling them. How long they stay this way time will tell, but out of the box, they are extremely sharp. As for the design, they are comfortable to hold and use and they just feel good in my hands. To me, they feel weighted very well and I can feel the weight of the blade when cutting.
