Great quality and design for Garmin
Very thick build and clean finish. Fits perfectly into my pre existing scotty connector on my kayak. I needed this to attach to a Garmin striker 7. The size of this mount is a little large for the Garmin and has some extra holes for larger sized but overall works great.

Very sturdy mounting platform
First of all, this mount is bigger and sturdier than I expected, great! I recently bought a Striker 4 fishfinder for my Outcast pontoon and needed to mount the FF and the transducer.. I had an old Scotty rod holder base that wasn't in use so that's why I bought this. I sacrificed a cutting board from the kitchen (approx 3/8" thick) to create a slightly bigger platform, and mounted the FF on top, and a piece of aluminum bar stock on the bottom. The bar stock (1/8" thick) extends a bit past the outside of the pontoon, then bends 90 degree down towards the water. The transducer is mounted on another piece of aluminum bar stock that simply bolts to the first piece, so it's easily removable. I thought about using PVC tubing for the transducer mount, but that has a lot more drag than the edge of the bar stock. It's had its maiden voyage, and it worked better than I had hoped. As a battery, I'm using the 12v li-ion power supply to a HarborFreight battery jump starter. It's 12 Ah, has no minimal power draw, weighs next to nothing, and keeps the FF going forever. So I'm pretty happy with this Scotty mount, as it's the perfect platform for what I needed to build...

Needs altered.
The mount lines up perfect for the three screens I fitted it to with no drilling. All my bases line up perfect. My one issue is it wouldn't lock into the top of the collar it goes into? The T-bolt that holds the whole contraption to the rail was too long and the mount couldn't go in far enough to lock without hitting the bolt sticking up in the bottom. A spacer may have been missing or something? I just cut 1/4" off the T-bolt for an easy fix if you have the means. A spacer on the bottom would also work. Works perfect other than the bolt length but again, mine may have been missing a spacer part.

Worked Well
Fit my garmin fish finder for my kayak very well. Locks in snug to the kayak but not hard to take off when done.

GREAT MOUNT FOR FISH FINDER
BOUGHT TWO OF THESE, ONE FOR MY FISH FINDER AND ONE TO MOUNT MY FISH CUTTING BOARD. THEY WORKED GREAT FOR BOTH APPLICATIONS. VERY SATISFIED.

Almost...
System is designed to fit its purpose, and will work well with some modifications. I am using it with the Scotty transducer arm on an Ascend 12t. The bolt that comes up through the transducer arm that you use to attach it to the track is too long, so when you tighten the arm down onto the track, the bolt sticks up high enough to prevent the actual fish finder unit to lock all the way down into the mount. I will either have to shorten the bolt a few threads or get some washers to take up some of the space. Other than that total negligent oversight, it's a good system. I can't fathom how that flaw made it through to the final product.
