I've had several kinds of USB speakers before, from NXT flat panel speakers to somewhat bulky bookshelf-style speakers. The sound from these is markedly improved over my previous ones, having a more well-rounded sound and a surprising amount of power. Of course, since these are single-driver speakers, they're going to have some limitations in terms of frequency range, but it's a lot less noticeable than USB speakers I've had previously.I started out testing them on my phone, just plugged into a USB3 port on my computer. While I didn't get a lot of volume out of them at the time, I was surprised at how much detail was in the sound. Of course, only being powered by USB3 (which by spec tops out at 0.9 amps), I could hear some artifacts from the amplifier being overdriven. Next, I plugged them into my Chromecast and a 2.4 amp wall charger. I was shocked at the amount of sound coming out of the speakers, to the point where I immediately had to turn them down about halfway (both on the speakers themselves and on the chromecast). Of course, like with any single-driver speakers, the bass will tend to drop off a bit with distance, so these aren't going to be hosting any thumping dance parties, but for USB powered speakers, these are the best I've run into so far. Of course, this makes me want to explore and see if there are other ones that can top them, now that I have a glimpse of what's possible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clear Sound / Inexpensive Solution *by A***H on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2017* Inexpensive solution for computer speakers. I didn't need anything powerful for sound; just something to hear audio when watching videos and these speakers work fine for that. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that the volume control is in the middle of a rather short cable and hangs behind the computer desk where it can't be easily reached for volume adjustments. The work around is to leave it turned up and then adjust volume via whatever software program being used. However, most of the time news feeds and other videos start off at full volume when you first click to launch the video. So that's not a perfect work around. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ terrific value! *by E***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2018* These speakers deliver a lot of volume for their very low price. Besides standard front firing drivers, there is also a passive radiator in the back of each speaker, to reinforce the bass. The sound quality is surprisingly good. The 3.5 mm plug is compatible with almost all audio devices out there. Only limitation is the USB plug that is required for electrical power. You could possibly use some kind of USB adapter that plugs into the electrical wall socket.
