Universal Audio Volt 476 USB Audio Interface

I use exclusively UAD Apollo in my production studio. Multiple UAD Satellites, X8P, X16, and Twin X - all cascaded together. I wanted to use an external interface with my 2024 iPad m4 and this was the perfect choice. Literally plug and play. Plugged it in, and it just works. Input and output channels show up instantly in any iPad DAW (I use Cubasis) I'm a UAD guy anyway, but this interface does not disappoint. I've you've never used UAD gear, the VOLTs are a great way to get into their lineup without the cost of the Apollos. The VOLTs do not have the same functionality as the Apollo lineup - cascading, software routing, plugin and DSP, etc are not part of the VOLT series. But if you are looking for a solid interface with great sound, excellent design and insane compatibility with iOS for the iPad or iPhone, the VOLTs are amazing. I highly recommend UAD gear - and this one lives up to the UDA name.

Wonderful USB Audio interface. I've started using Luna and found it amazing too. The interface works on the Mac with no issues. I've used it with Studio One 7, Ableton Live 12, and Reaper without any problems. I definitely recommend upgrading to the Luna Pro software. Lots of excellent hardware and plugins in a small footprint.

I was and still am totally blown away by this interface! The onboard compressor, along with the vintage setting absolutely put this unit over the top! Look no further! I’ve used most of the competitors interfaces, either friends or associates, and there is a tangible difference! We use it for music recording, and have had zero issues with anything, from latency to headroom, it just works perfectly! I love the onboard compression and vintage options so much, it’s part of my live signal chain! I’m a guitarist. We use a windows computer for mixing etc….and the drivers are stable as a rock. Others have mentioned the software bundles, so I’ll spare y’all….but holy cow, there’s a lot of value there! If this is your first and are having trouble deciding, just get this; I promise you will not have an ounce of regret! If you’re upgrading, see above…. UA knocked it out! Thanks for a great product!

As always, UA delivers. The UA Volt 476 is beautifula, robust, and very well built. Unfortunately, that's as much as I can tell you. I am only able to review the UA Volt based on the quality of the product's first-impression basis and experience "opening" the delivery and product. Why is that? Because apparently Amazon thinks it's okay to ship you an already pre-sold, pre-opened and pre-used product now. I'm sure it sounds as good as everything-UA-land. I wouldn't know as it's fairly disappointing to receive a box that obviously already been shipped, beat up, received, opened, re-boxed improperly (accessories out of bags and the unit placed upside down in the foam?!), shipped back, beat up some more, shipped to me (in a plastic bag!!), and beat up one last time... well, before it gets bashed up on the way back to Amazon again, I suppose. Seriously? A nearly-$400 audio interface should NOT be shipped in an Amazon disposable plastic bag. UA supplies just the right accessories needed. The unit is very nice looking and impressive. Good luck recieving a new one. I'm sure you'll love it if you do. As for me, I'm ordering one from another vendor so I actually get a NEW and SEALED one. Hey Amazon... if you're reading this... these types of things come with licenses and software tied to the SN, ya know? Get a clue. I will be sure to return and review the new one to provide more details.

Simple, looks great, works great. Only downside is that XLR input 1 and two are located at the front of the interface

Nachtrag: Zusammen mit dem Amazon Kundenservice konnte rasch eine zufriedenstellende Lösung gefunden werden. Hier liegt eine klare Stärke von Amazon und ein gutes Kaufargument! Ein Stern Abzug WG der Umstânde/Enttäuschung nach der Zustellung. Das Volt 476 ist für Pre-Production/Training für Guitar/Vocal Recording/Üben in Kombination mit dem Ipad Pro ein tolles Interface und würde ich per se mittlerweile mit 5 Sternen bewerten! Das direct Monitoring mit dem integrierten Kompressor ermöglicht Mmn gutes Vocal-Training/Festhalten von schnellen Entwürfen. Recording am Feierabend macht mit dem Interface+iPad Pro Spaß und geht rasch und unkompliziert. Mmn ist das Volt 476 ein solides Interface und sollte für Hobby-Producer ein paar Jahre sehr gut ausreichen! Kann man guten Gewissens als Neuling kaufen. Über die zwei Line in - ohne preamp an der Rückseite - kann man zb auch einen Quad Cortex einleiten und dadurch noch top Guitar-sounds direkt für's Recording verwenden. ****** Ursprüngliche Rezension: - hier war ich direkt nach dem Erhalt verärgert - Tja, Mal eben 351€ für als "Neu" verkaufte, abgegriffene und beschädigte (Riss am Volume-Poti) Retourware erhalten. Inkl. Haaren im Packerl. Fein. Musik-Equipment werde ich wohl in Zukunft wieder beim Musikladen meines Vertrauens online bestellen...

Ein tolles Interface, schöner Klang, super Verarbeitung. Warum dann nur 1 Stern? Das Problem liegt darin, dass das Warehouse Deals Gerät schon aktiviert und die beiligende Software somit nicht verfügbar war. Kurz gesagt: Ein großer Kaufanreiz fällt plötzlich weg, schade. Der Kundenservice kam mir leider kostentechnisch nur minimal entgegen, weswegen ich das Interface dann doch wieder zurückschicke. Gut, dann darf der/die Nächste sich damit herumärgern.
