Lip Balm & SPF 30 Sunscreen

I use sunblock 365 days a year or else my lips will blister around the edges from sunburns. I've been using Z Blok for about a year, and I am very pleased with the sun protection. The label claims "clear zinc," "fragrance free," "chemical free," and "SPF30." My lips have never burned or blistered or reacted to the ingredients, so it works great for me. Even though the label says it is clear zinc, it is actually an off-white color that goes on almost clear. Sometimes my lips will look a little pale just after application and in that case I smack my lips together and slide them around a bit to evenly distribute the balm and then the product is clear. The texture (or lip feel) of Z Block makes lips a tad too waxy and thus too tacky for my taste, so I apply a thin coat of Neosporin's Overnight Renewal Therapy over the Z Blok to achieve that perfectly hydrated, moist (but not shiny or slippery), wax-free lip feeling. Typically, I just use this once a day, but if I'm outdoors for an extended period, I will reapply it just to make sure I won't burn...just as I would for SPF30 sunscreen. It's nice that it comes in a 3-pack so that you can keep them on hand wherever you are and it's nice that it is applied directly to the lips...you don't need to clean your finger before dipping it in a tiny tub of lip balm or wipe product out from under your fingernail. In sum, it is effective, convenient, and fairly priced.

I coach in Florida and I’m in the sun all the time. I’m constantly drinking water and licking my lips and the sun tends to give me blisters. I started using this clear zinc lip block and it helped blocking out the bad rays and healed my lips.

Unfortunately I have been getting cold sores my whole life. The sun is the main reason I get them. I bought this chapstick and put it on continuously while I’m in the sun and I don’t get cold sores!!! 100% best stuff.

Great for eczema. Very expensive since the tube is very small. Unable to use the full stick, the bottom is not accessible . Suggest to switch to a small tin version of this instead

Thank you for making this product. As someone who likes watching skincare videos in my spare time and sometimes succumbs to marketing. I have spent a pretty penny on some mineral lip balms myself. And as a guy lipsticks were not really on the table. Nevertheless after trying Prequel brand(solid), an emu oil zinc brand for $19, another chemical $20 chapstick from amazon, this is the nicest. Amazing price as well. I get tubes for my car, pocket, and gym bag. No white cast, light feeling on lips. No chemical taste. I am indian and have brown complexion, this leaves no white cast fr. I have eczema/sensitive skin my whole life(22yo) so I knew I wanted mineral for a while. With that usually comes large trade offs in comfort/elegance. Yet they delivered in terms of this actually hydrating my lips which are normally verryyy chapped, and being a zinc based chapstick. Whatever the “ClearZinc” is, it’s legit. I thought it was just marketing as I’ve always gotten white on my darker complexion lips from zinc lip balms. But the clear zinc is legit, can’t see anything. So from hydration, aesthetically, and affordability. Every box they hit. Please never change the brand as they will be my daytime lip protector as long as this product continues to be made. My family is in farming as well, and I think I can get my dad to use this. Thank you.

I have tried every lip balm out there with SPF. This is the only one that prevents my lips from burning or getting sun blisters. It contains zinc oxide, so there is a white tint when applying. I stand outside all day. It does moisturize as well. I am a repeat customer.
