If you had 2 or more childen laying with the sandbox, I would purchase another bag. It will hold 100lbs total. **Q: Does the lid lock?** A: No it sits down on it but does not lock **Q: The product listings liss the size to be 61.7 x 47 x 13. Is this with the lid on or connected to the box** A: I think its with the lid extension. The box itself is a square. Its not designed for a child to get into and play but rather play on the outside with the sand. I hope that makes sense :p **Q: Would this work with kinetic sand?** A: I have Kinetic sand in mine because ours is in the house. The excavator doesn't really pick up the sand because the sand is too heavy. The majority of item is made from hard plastic but where the blue lid slides onto the sandbox the plastic is not as hard and ours cracked quite badly after day two as a kid stood on the bridge to get into box which was disappointing and kids naturally want to get in so hard to tell 2/3 year olds not to use this part as a step.
