It's quite detailed and can be painted and I couldn't see anything else available that looked as imaginative as this dice roller. Son is really pleased with it. You probably couldn't roll lots of dice in it but my son says it's good for the level of D & D he's playing at where they are only using up to 3 dice no problem. Probably easily take 5 standard sized dice. It didn't arrive for Christmas but the seller was great when I contacted them and a replacement was issued quickly.
