NVIDIA RTX A4000

I edit videos often. This card seemed perfect for my purposes. The bonus is that it only takes up one slot! The reviews show it comparable to a RTX 3070. This seems to be the case in my experience. My 4K monitor has DP ports, so I did not need an adapter for the video signal. I picked up some active 4K HDMI adapters just in case.

Not new. Not PNY. Removed from a Dell system and passed off as a new card. Wasn't even packaged in a proper sized anti static bag

I have it running CUDA under WSL. With 16GB of VRAM, you can fit Llama2-13B Q6 100% in ram, and it generates text far faster than you can read. It's kind of a sweet spot for language models. It also plays games pretty games pretty well, and has ECC memory. Definitely a good buy.

This card is very capable . However once you have owned one for a while you will run into the problem of rising GPU temperatures . This card runs hot . The factory cooler was designed with compactness as priority #1 . The factory heatsink will quickly plug with dust and you will notice your performance slowing down as the card throttles . I installed 3rd party cooler that I bought on Ebay for $75 . For the kind of money they want for these cards it's sad to have to do this .

Part came with a plain box, does not look new, the lower bracket was bent, had to bend it back to install it. This appears to be a used/refurbished product being sold as new. It only has a 30 day warranty on it as well, seems like it should have come in the original packaging instead of a brown box with bubble wrap around it?

Ordered two A4000 cards, both came in generic white boxes that weren't even the same, generic static bags that were sealed, and dust on the cards with screw marks on the mounting bracket where the cards had been installed before. These cards are obviously out of a used system and nothing in the listing for the cards say they are used.

I use it with MAYA in Windows 11. Does the job.

MRSP is around $600 so the price is obviously scalped but it is a very good work station GPU. I couldn’t wait for the prices to go down but if you can just a wait a bit longer and prices should normalize

When it arrived, the content inside the PNY box is wrapped by a food wrap plastic sheet. After removing the plastic wrap, found the plastic bag of the card is torn opened and the card is sitting outside of the plastic bag.
