Better than expected.
Quiet and cool. Looks great in my room and really cleans up the air. One point to think of in case you’re not used to lifting, it is heavy and yet nice to relocate for special reasons. So I bought a nice garden dolly with wheels, like you might use under heavy potted plants. That works great. So I can have it in the kitchen when I’m cooking and in my bedroom when I’m sleeping. I really like this unit and feel confident that it is well made to last. Have had for many weeks and no problems at all. Mechanics are easy to learn.

Great Filter
I’ve bought two of these. The first in Dec 2021. Overall I’ve been pleased with them. Solid plastic build and looks nice. On level 10 the fan is quite loud, but a perfect noise level and sound for sleeping. At level 5 and below it is very quiet. You can set it on a schedule or even tie into automations. Can be used with the Smart Life app and also be integrated into home assistant. I change the filters about every 6 months and have two dogs. The filters usually come out looking like they have a thick coat of dust on them. Kinda gross, but exactly what a filter should be doing! Good/Bad: one of my filters had the UVC light socket die out. I thought it was the light itself at first and then tested the bulb on my other filter and it was fine. I contacted support. They got back to me quickly! Unfortunately both of my units were out of warranty, but the team was very supportive and offered to send out a new unit. I’m not sure this will be the case for everyone, but to me it shows good faith and a desire to provide the best service possible. Now with this in mind, I’m not an expert on cost analysis, but I highly doubt the materials for these units exceed $100. So their profit margins are probably high enough they’re able to do that with minimal hit to their bottom line. Irregardless I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a quality filter or doesn’t have a central air filter (ie using mini splits). Catch it on a sale if you can, but even still, it’s worth it.

Great until it’s not
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have purchased 4 of these units. I raise dachshunds and use them in my kennel and home. 3/4 work great. However, one of them quit working after only about a month or 2. Very disappointing considering I paid the normal price and not the sale price.

It's $$$, but you get what you pay for!
We have been using our Germ Guardian for a while without any problems. We started looking for a new air purifier after finding out some of the poor electrical wiring and potential fire hazard from the Germ Guardian. What made us choose this unit? 1. We have 2 cats in the house and my wife has allergic issues with the cat hairs so we constantly find ourselves needing to keep the air purifiers on. 2. There are several trees outside of our home that produces a lot of pollen in the spring/summer that makes it difficult for us to open our windows for the fresh air. 3. We have a townhome with each floor space less than 1000 square feet which means we don’t need a huge air purifier that can cover 2000 to 3000 square feet of space. The selling feature for us was the “auto mode”, which means the air purifier uses its sensor to adjust the fan speed and how hard it works based on the air quality in the house. This means we can turn it on and leave it on 24/7. We can monitor the air quality through the air quality index (AQI) via their mobile app. This is a big difference from our previous air purifier since we only turned it on based on how we felt. It is also a very quiet unit as for the most part we haven’t had the need to turn the fan beyond level 3. For the most part the AC unit. and desk fans are much louder in the house. The only small knock we have is that you have to install the filter and lamp laying the unit on its side which is a bit awkward, however, it is not a huge deal and the installation instructions were quite clear.

Potential Security and Privacy Concerns – Buyers Beware
While the AirHealth purifier itself works adequately at filtering air, buyers should be aware of potential security and privacy concerns linked to its “smart” features. Upon integrating this device into my home network, I noticed unusual network traffic and discovered it communicates with servers based in China. Blocking these servers effectively disabled the device’s smart features, indicating a heavy reliance on Chinese cloud infrastructure. Further investigation revealed that the AirHealth purifier uses the Tuya IoT platform—a Chinese-based service known for security vulnerabilities and data privacy concerns. Although there’s no confirmed evidence of intentional harm or misuse of data from this particular device, the dependency on Chinese-manufactured technology and cloud servers raises legitimate security questions. The device hardware itself is also manufactured in China, which, while common, is worth mentioning for buyers particularly concerned with supply chain transparency. I strongly recommend AirHealth include clear disclaimers regarding their dependency on overseas servers and the associated potential vulnerabilities. Consumers who prioritize data privacy and cybersecurity might wish to weigh these considerations carefully before purchasing.

Smart Design, But Stays Off After Power Failure
It is funny how direct the marketing is for this in stating that it is not just a fan pulling air through a HEPA filter. In truth, that is the primary thing that this (and any good air filter) is. However, owning some "smart" air filters and some more basic ones, I do like this type with air quality sensors more. In terms of aesthetics, this is superior to some. The top display and fan grille look particularly nice. At the same time, the overall look is still that clinical plastic style that is common among air purifiers. I don't mind it, but someone more concerned with room design may want to keep it in a side room. It pulls enough air to work well outside of a main living space. The best part of a modern air purifier is the automated fan speed. If the air is already clean, it only pulls a gentle and nearly silent breeze through. When I am cooking or cleaning and kicking up dust, it automatically increases air flow (and noise). This adds a lot of practical functionality, keeping the air pleasant and allergen free without staying noisy all the time. The UV light and other features are less important, but nice to have. The app is not useful only because the automatic fan speed means that it requires no scheduling or babysitting. One problem that I find surprisingly deal-breaking is that this does not turn back on after a power failure. This means that it can leave the house with poor air for long periods without me knowing what happened. Since it is normally so quiet, a brief power failure can cause it to be off for weeks before I notice. This is a major flaw, in my opinion. It should just turn back on when the power returns. The price on this is definitely in the premium range, and it certainly does a good job at cleaning the air. While I have found it a bit risky to use unless I keep an eye on it to make sure it is still on, it is otherwise recommended.

Wonderful air purifier
We purchased the Air Health SKYE, about a month ago. I am happy to report that I am very satisfied with the performance. The design is very nice, and the air quality indicator is quite useful. It was easy to set up with directions provided on the cardboard inserts. It also is very quiet and effective. With air quality not always ideal in our skies, we are able to protect our internal air quality with this purifier.

Very effective results, according to readout
I was impressed that this model was tested and certified by independent laboratory. Cant exactly call it or maintenance items inexpensive, but after having owned it for a year, I would likely buy it again. Have it stationed beside return air grille in very large house. After several days catching up, it does a very good job of maintaining excellent air quality at minimum speed. Very quiet at lower speeds. Digital air quality readout very helpful as is automatic speed selection.
