what differences are there compared the the older model. the buttons,clearly are new. this says it has tempered class did the old one have that?

Can I leave this turned on as a regular monitor as well, or should I turn it off until I use it?

I use it as a second monitor all the time. I've been doing it for more than a year already. Not a problem. The pen charge didn't seem to be affected by this.
