Excellent product

Love the detail of the model. The moving pop-up headlight function is what sold me. Such an awesome feature that most other brands miss. Some people reported issues with getting incorrect models or knock off ones but mine came and is exactly as advertised. Couple things to note, the water cup in cab and tofu in trunk were a very cool feature. The engine noises are on the low end but it's not a deal breaker. The pull back and go function works but is a bit weak as far as I expected. Not a deal breaker either since I wanted it because of how accurate it is to the show. Only inaccurate thing I see is the 'Fujiwara Tofu Shop' japanese characters are on drivers and passengers door. In the show, the lettering is only on the driver's side door. Only one issue with the model I received is the hood has some trouble closing. Just needs some finagling to close it but worth mentioning. All in all, great looking model, preassembled, great price, and definitely a good gift for anyone who loves initial d or just JDM cars! Highly recommend!

It isnt exactly correct. For example it has the tofu business name on both sides, but its still a really great car!

It’s a great quality model for the price point, make sure you get the 1/20 Scale and not the 1/28 if you want it to be as true to the real AE86 as possible. The engine in the bay is from the wrong stage and there’s a lack of interior details but other than that with the functioning pop up lights and steering articulation it makes the ultimate display model. If there were more of the initial D cars available with the working lights they’d be all over my room

My husband is a big Initial D fan so I got this for this birthday one year. He loved it and said it was one of his favorite gifts!

This is by far the most detailed car model i've ever owned. This is really worth the money!!! I Love It!!!
