A: 1-3 inches with adjustable separation from tightening or loosening the vertical straps using the side release buckle

A: my ventapak still looks new. I use it with my camera backpack that is quite heavy.

**Q: How much does this item weigh?**
A: I weighed it with my luggage scale and the needle didn't move. So, it's under a pound, but can't say exactly how many ounces.

**Q: How do you attach your load to the VentaPak?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The gap keeps you cool!

You never know if these new things will do as they say but this time it did! Easy to fit to my Osprey running backpack and the gap is there for all to see. It's a little fiddly to put the bag on but after a couple of uses you fit it as quickly as before. Without doubt this mesh held frame holds the bag away assisting your back to stay much cooler than with a bag stuck to it. The weight too shifts to your hips and away from your shoulders which is a great thing as you should take the weight this way. Very pleased with this newish item that really does what it claimed to do. Brilliant.
