Original Green!
I purchased both the green original model and the newer beige model with the white knob turn in the back to see which one I’d like more. I decided to keep the green original model.I prefer the metal screw vs the large plastic screw in the back - it’s simple, easy to turn and functions exactly the same but small and compact.I did not like the rubber on the bottom and didn’t feel it was a necessary feature especially because I usually cut vegetables in a mixing bowl angled down. Similarly, I didn’t think the notches on the side were necessary for the same reason. The green color is pretty too! Can’t wait to use this gem!!

Love this! Lives up to the hype!!
This totally lives up to the hype. Besides being stupid easy to store and clean, it lets you dial in how thing you want your veggies. I've used mandolins before but often you're stuck with certain sizes. 3mm, 6mm, etc. This one you can dial in exactly how thin you want your veggies and with the extra blades, exactly what shape/form. It really makes for some unique things I may not have done otherwise when it comes to using certain veggies as garnishes.Overall we've had this for 6 months or so and it's held up to everything we've thrown at it. In the picture is red cabbage that without a nice sharp knife, can be a tough one to cut, especially to cut into equal sizes, and this handled it perfectly. I find myself using veggies I shied away from before because of its ease of us.This is 100% an excellent addition to your kitchen, doesn't take up a ton of space, will make you better when it comes to creativity and what you use in your cook, especially garnishment or anything where you want things get super small, and looks great!Probably it's best attribute is it's simple to use. a couple screws, swap out a blade, another screw dials in thickness. it's about as easy as it gets. Just watch your hands! The blades are sharp!

Best slicer!
Got this based on the recommendation of a friend that cooks a lot. This replaced a MUCH more expensive one that broke. This mandolin is very simple, VERY sharp, easy to clean, and compact- it fits in any drawer in the kitchen. If I could change anything about this it would be the ability to cut THICKER slices. This can go from PAPER THIN to REGULAR THIN.I’ve notice after owning this that it is what I see on tv in every professional kitchen!

Quick and effective
Works like a charm. Wear gloves for safety. Slices raw banana, potato like a charm. Saves time manually slicing vegetables. Built sturdy.

Simply the Best
Just the best mandolin you can buy, end of story. Used by chefs, sous chefs and prep cooks in every restaurant I worked in over the past 4 decades and for good reason: it’s a simple tool that does what it’s supposed to — well. Light, sturdy, easy to use, dangerously sharp and a breeze to clean. Guard is functional, as well, which is seldom the case. Even though it’s almost tripled in price in the last 5-10 years it’s still a bargain. My only complaint is the relatively narrow width of the cutting surface. It could also use some grip tape/rubber at the contact point where it will rest on a table/countertop to prevent slipping. But ideally it should never be used on a slippery surface.Caveat: my advice for those who aren’t familiar with using this tool: watch online videos of professional kitchen employees using it. A uniformly flat hand is key to safety (if the guard isn’t being used). Never force, never get distracted talking to your friend about the frustrations of dating. This thing will mame you in ways that could spawn an entire slasher film franchise. Seen some gruesome stuff over the years. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Show it the extreme respect it deserves and it will perform brilliantly for the duration of your lives together.

Respect the Mandoline
Simplicity = perfect! It's virtually impossible to walk into a store and get a simple slicer/mandoline. They all try to be a Swiss army knife when all you need is to just slice stuff... not survive on a desert island. This thing is sharp, so treat it like a razor and pay attention when you're using it.Besides being darn good at slicing, it's a breeze to clean, unlike those other mandolines that have 87 attachments and tiny areas where food gets stuck forcing you to futz around near a very sharp blade.Worth every penny!

Gratin heaven.
Seamless transaction. Fast careful ship. Delivered on time. The fancy ones are nice but these slicers are hard to beat and you don’t need a lot of room to store.
