Just what the doctor ordered
Just what the doctor ordered, for reals. I have a leg injury and my physical therapist suggested a cane. I must have had a terrified look in my eyes so she said “ ok how about a hiking stick”. I could get on board with that. However my trekking pole had a bare end that could be damaging to floors and also slick for me. I was unable to find the right size in CVS or Target so I needed to order. These fit perfect..

Excellent quality -- Snug Fit
Put these over the metal tips of our Black Diamond walking sticks. The tips we received were rubber, not plastic. Easy to install and they have a very snug fit to the end of the pole. They will not come off. The rubber is thick and should provide years of use. Importantly, they provide additional protection to the stick when hiking or walking over solid surfaces or concrete. They reduce the noisy sound walking sticks with metal ends make on solid surfaces. This is a big factor for us as 70-year-old seniors who use them both for hiking and occasionally day-to-day for balance when shopping.

Includes washers to protect inside
I have an Outdoor Product (From Menards) Treck stick, and the tip was wearing. On the stick, you can remove the tip and have a carbide tip for ice. On tips that are just rubber, the tip will wear through. These have a washer so the carbide tip spreads the load inside the tip.

Works but temporary
The tip is small, the tip is hard, and if you slip you may blame the tip. Each tip lasted about 6 weeks in near dailyuse before the metal cane bottom broke through the rubber / plastic.

works on ski poles
working very well on old ski poles without baskets. required some taping for snug fit and retention, but a winner

Break after 1 day - wasted my money
I used these to replaced the ski baskets on my ski poles as I believe this is exactly what they were intended for. They only lasted 1 day before they broke on each pole. I thought it might just be a bad one so replaced each again with extras. Same result - did not last 1 day before they broke. They look good and I thought they would be great but are junk. 2 days of skiing 4 broken baskets. Don't buy these. The basket breaks off of the screw on piece - all 4 baskets did the same thing.

Description is very clear. They fit two different kinds: one is for hiking which I am now using in suburban area where there are all kinds of surfaces, and the other which is worn out! Nonslip anymore!
