Grippy with a side of firmness
Grips are quite stiff and rough and not squishy or soft. I use them gloveless in play primarily on my driving iron. Have had good face control. Mishits do result in direct feedback to hands.

I'm a low handicap (1) with high swing speed, Z-Grip is the only way to go. By far the best grip on the market and extremely durable. Might not be for the higher handicap who don't want the feedback from their miss hits.
