Does anyone know what the max amperage or wattage is? looking to run a 1/2 hp motor with it. hoping it’s a 20 amp

NO. Reading from the box it came in: 15A Resistive; 15A General; 1000W tungsten; 1000VA Ballast; 500VA Electronic Ballast;  1/4 HP Motor.  
Note: The tungsten limit is not 15A because of the onrush of power when first turned on. That is 15 amps for pure resistance. Inductive loads, like a motor, can not be rated in amps conveniently, that is why the VA rating. This is a solid state device, so transit or starting loads will burn it our before it drops to steady state conditions. It may work a few times but will fail soon on your load.  I suggest you use a 20A 110v mechanical relay with this device to cover your needs. They are relatively cheap. That way, your peak startup and run loads will be covered as mechanical contacts are forgiving to peak transit loads.

Question 2

My wall box has the standard black, white, and ground wires. Will this wiring work for this timer?

To wire this switch: wires coming from panel are black (hot), white (neutral), bare copper is ground. Connect black to black on switch/timer, all whites together, including the one going to a fan or whatever this switch/timer is for, and all grounds (bare copper) connect to green off of switch/timer, last you connect the red off the switch/timer to the black wire that goes to the fan or whatever is being controlled by this switch/timer.

can this be wired in series to control a wall mounted radiant heater

Not sure. I don't believe the timer is rated for the kind of current draw that a radiant heater will draw.
