In the gleaming high-rise offices of Reynholm Industries, powerful executives oversee billion dollar business deals. But in the dark and shabby basement, the company's IT Support Team - bitter slacker Roy (Chris O'Dowd), socially inept Moss (Richard Ayoade), and their new boss, computer illiterate Jen (Katherine Parkinson) - rule their own domain of professional irresponsibility, mega-nerd ecstasy, and random acts of personal insanity. Review: The Perfect Comedy Series for Tech Enthusiasts and Pop Culture Fans - If you're a fan of hilarious, irreverent comedies that are full of clever tech jokes and pop culture references, then "IT Crowd: The Complete Series" is the perfect show for you. This British sitcom follows the antics of three employees who work in the IT department of a large corporation and their socially awkward boss, who often gets in the way more than he helps. Whether you're a tech enthusiast who appreciates the show's accurate portrayals of IT culture, or simply a fan of clever comedy, you're sure to find something to love in this series. The show also boasts a fantastic cast, with standout performances from Chris O'Dowd as the lovable slacker Roy, Richard Ayoade as the socially inept Moss, and Katherine Parkinson as their often clueless boss Jen. The chemistry between the characters is spot-on, and their interactions and hijinks will have you laughing out loud throughout each episode. In addition to its hilarious writing and stellar cast, "IT Crowd" also features plenty of pop culture references that will delight fans of movies, TV shows, and video games. From nods to "Star Wars" and "The Matrix" to jokes about "Street Fighter" and "Final Fantasy," there's something for every pop culture fan in this series. Overall, "IT Crowd: The Complete Series" is a must-watch for anyone who loves clever comedy, tech culture, and pop culture references. Nerd humor at its best
This series reminds me of back when the Internet was new and a much nicer place than it is now. It’s nostalgic and also extremely funny. We’ve watched this over and over again in my family. Highly recommended if you like British humor, and nerdy jokes.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
My favorite series.

It didn't work until I turned the player on and off again.
One of my all-time comfort shows. I can watch this endlessly. The extra details, with each season's menu being a different era of video-gaming was a great detail and I made sure to watch each menu to see all the little nonsense that goes on. The extras are all worth your time and there are a ton on them. One of the better series boxed sets I've seen.

A genuinely funny look at the life and times of IT professionals
Back in the Eighties, I was working on a story for the morning edition when my computer froze up. I asked a couple of other reporters if they had any idea what I should do to get it working again but they had no clue. Their only advice: Call the IT department. I did, stressing the fact that because I was on deadline speed was of the essence. Right. Waste of breath, really, that bit about being in a hurry. About 30 minutes later a chubby young man wearing glasses and a Starfleet Academy T-shirt wandered over, sat down at my desk, fiddled with the keyboard a bit, and got my computer working. He stood, gave me a pitying glance, and then wandered off without ever saying anything to me. That was my first encounter with IT but over the course of my career as a journalist I had many others with the men and women who work in information technology. With rare exception, they followed the same pattern: Something would go wrong with my computer, usually when I was on deadline. I'd call IT and, eventually, someone would show up and get it working again. The pitying glance was always a feature of these encounters. As a result, although I wondered just who they were, I never really got to know anyone who worked in information technology. When, therefore, I saw "The IT Crowd" I bought it because I was - I suppose - curious about the odd life forms that spend their days fixing computers. So glad I did because this British comedy is genuinely funny with sharp writing, very fine acting, and some very pointed comments about life in a giant corporation. The series revolves around two men who are hidden away in the basement of the mega-corporation they work for and their new boss, a woman who actually knows nothing about computers and how to fix them. Chris O'Dowd and Richard Ayoade are brilliant as the IT crew and Katherine Parkinson is hilarious as their ambitious boss who really doesn't know the difference between a keyboard and a mouse. Matt Berry as the mentally unstable, sexually adventurous head of the corporation is equally funny. What makes the show so interesting to me, however, is the fact that beneath the broad humor are some underlying truths about life in the corporate world. Sexual harassment, bosses who know little or nothing about their departments, toxic work environments, and general incompetence are all dealt with in this series, albeit with sharply worded humor. This DVD pack also includes some very clever animations and featurettes that give viewers some insight into the making of the series. I highly recommend it.

Excelente serie, hace mucho tiempo la buscaba. Algo malo...

Absolut sehenswert! Also: Kaufempfehlung!

Not only is the series hilarious, take the time to check out the elaborate retro gaming designs for the menus, all of them are specially designed, they even might be labours of love.
