It does not work in my 3.0 port on my PC. Also the plastic is black inside with only 4 copper strip connections rather than 5, which a 3.0 should have. **Q: Can you charge while you play, i mean when connected into a wall socket and will it stop the percentage of battery from depleting all together** A: Yeah, what I do usually charging from my PC or gaming laptop USB 3 port. Also tried to charge from main wall socket but you have to use the right plug with USB port available. For example a tablet or phone charger base will do the job. Personally I have used from my PC USB port. The battery 🔋 could be charged up on the Oculus quest 2 by that way. I have noticed if you use the device heavily still keep the battery 🔋 level up to around 70% so it won't stay up to 100%. That means you can keep carrying using the VR device continuously just have to adapt with the link wire all the time. I would use the original plug of the Oculus device and connect the USB end of the Syntec link cable to it. Hope it helps. **Q: I need a longer charging cable than the original one - don't want to plug it into a computer just the bundles plug that comes with the Meta Quest 2?** A: Hi, Ive read your response and would like to inform you that is not the use of this product, this cable links your pc and headset to play games at higher quality and off of steam vr, it does not charge the headset. I would recommend a battery pack as it exstends play time the headset remains wireless and the strap is comfier. **Q: Why does it keep connecting then disconnecting from my pc?** A: You have to check if you connected to a USB-C or a USB 3 port on your PC and you have the latest drivers update for Windows 10 or 11. Obviously make sure the Oculus quest 2 drivers are updated on your device. If you allow Oculus link when you try to connect to your PC make sure its enabled on your Oculus software. For me it is absolutely working fine without trouble but before I had problems to install Oculus software on Windows 11 was buggy. I know that cable its a cheaper option to the official Oculus one but you have to check a speed test as well on your Oculus software and will tell you if the cable is eligible with your system. I guess with all the updates to the ports on your PC could be the key.
