I like it for its craftsmanship and sturdiness. It is a vintage look. The compass is working fine on my hand. I do not recommend checking the compass on an automated height adjustable desk because you might think the compass is not accurate. It is because the electromagnetic field of the desk interferes with the compass. The sun clock is working fine. In case you are lost, you may track down the time. I recommend anyone to keep it in their possession for extra safety when you are traveling.

Looks great, brass body and size gives it a good weight. Instructions are easy to follow, leather case isn't great but a nice piece for the money.

Gift for my son in law. He loves it.

I purchased this compass and was so happy with how the actual compass looked that I had my son make a case out of leather. The case that it comes with is made with a kind of a cheap looking bonded leather that I did not particularly like. I had this compass engraved at my jewelers and my daughter was very happy with it. She really liked the fact that it had a sundial clock on it.
