A excellent choice for a low cost radio with options!
I find this is arguably the IDEAL radio for a budget rc car driver who wants a radio with multi-memory settings.I advise you save the manual or look it up on your phone as a few settings are not as intuitive as they should be, like throttle reversing via the radio took some looking up to do. Navigation of the menu isn't as great as well. but I cannot argue at the price. Once you get it figured out it's great for setting up several trucks to use the flysky series receivers, and there are many recievers to pickup extra's available on Amazon. I have 4 trucks setup with this radio!there are aftermarket mods you can do that REALLY bring out the abilities and performance of this radio as well, but even left stock, at the price it's offered I feel it is the perfect beginner radio for thoes who want more options that your low end trigger radio.RANGE has been excellent, I have yet to test just how far it can go with my cars as so far, everything I've used it for it's been perfectly fine receiving (couple hundred feet with line of sight)The battery is built in and rechargeable via a standard USB. this means no more AA juggling! The one major CON I have with this controller is in fact, that it uses that rechargeable battery making it lighter on the bottom, it's a VERY top heavy controller and if you set it down on it's foot, it is VERY easy to knock over, and the LCD cannot survive an impact. if you set it down set it down pointing down so it's balancing on it's "toe" and the front face of the upper portion as well. or simply lay it down flat! Storing it upright like normal is fine for at home on a shelf but I'd never trust it in the field like that, a light breeze can knock it over when you're not looking! If you're looking at the GT-3B, don't. this controller is the upgraded and updated version and better in every way.

Best 3 channel transmitter for the money and with a cheap hack can be modified into an 8 channel. YouTube.
Great 3 channel transmitter for the money The only problem i have encountered is the soft foam slipping and rubbing on the case and holding the steering at full left r right throttle but easily fixed with some double sided tape. I have not completely tested the full range but i have driven my Nitro sport about a quarter of a mile from myself and had no problems or interference. It does come with 2 different rubber grips, a small and large which as an adult i quickly opted for the large and they simply snap on and off. I love that the receivers are only about 9.50 and i have this controlling my Traxxas Nitro sport and Heavily modified Helion Dominus 10SC with a castle Sidewinder SV3 brushless motor and many other upgrades to make it stronger. I was going to have it control my traxxas Tmaxx but i would lose all my telemetry had i decided to go that route but i did order an extra receiver with my Tmaxx but was not going to lose the built in telemetry so that receiver is still in its shipping envelope somewhere in my home. One amazing feature that this receiver has is ABS but FlySky calls it Auto braking system but it virtually does the same thing as antilock brakes. It rapidly applies and releases the brakes to prevent wheel lockup and loss of control which is amazing. I love that it has a Lipo versus 4 AA batteries and does have a low battery alarm and shut off feature if the Lipo battery gets too low inn voltage to prevent it from destroying the Lipo battery. It charges via a mini USB, the same mini USB as a GoPro uses and many other rechargeable products and can be charged using a computer but i have a 8000 mah backup charger to charge anything via USB so thats how mine is charged and i love this feature as i can take the backup battery with me anywhere and if the power is getting low i can simply plug it in and it usually charges to full in 1 to 2 hours depending at which rate i choose, either 1 or 2.1 amps per hour so purchasing the backup 8000 mah usb charger was a smart buy. Back to the transmitter its not as amazing or complex as a Futaba or Spektrum as i do have a spektrum DX2S but with the features if it was a futaba or spektrum it would be at least triple the price. And like i said there is a modification that can be done by adding an internal part that can turn it from a 3 channel to an astounding 8 channels and that is available on YouTube with what products you will need and how to do it so you can run a winch, lights, 4 wheel steering locking diffs hell the possibilities are endless with 8 channels on a surface radio. I would and already have suggested this product to other RC pals and 2 have bought similar ones but either the green or orange edition. Amazing Transmitter and endless possibilities with the 8 channel mod.

Had to order 3 till I got a good one.
so the best part is all the settings and fine tuning you can do. Transmitter can keep stored 10 rc cars. good distance. The first ordered seemed as if the battery was bad but also noticed that the red/green charge indicator light stopped working. The replacement had been used with no receiver, a strange spot in the screen near charging port, again no charging indicators, and black specs between the glass and the lcd. Finally, the third came and it's been perfect so far without any defects. the charging indicator works as it should and charges the battery but still only to 4.0 volts?, screen is clear, and good range. It's hard to program but watch videos online and once you get the hang of it all is well!

Great transmitter get the bigger battery as an accessory
So this is absolutely amazing radio. I actually have mine hacked to run the eight channel firmware. However if you were just using this for bashers these are amazing because they can run the inexpensive easy to find three channel receivers. The screen is very easy to read and has a wonderful back light and is easy to navigate. This radio is very easy to bond two receivers and offers a good amount of model memory. This transmitter has great ergonomics for any size high-end especially with the interchangeable back straps. The only negative I can say is the battery life isn’t great. However it is quick to charge and you can purchase a separate higher capacity battery which I would highly recommend

Awesome
Works great, has plenty of adjustments but not to many to where it’s overwhelming, backlit screen, and comes with rechargeable battery, these are by far the best transmitter for the money, I’ve used these for years.

prevented me from spending $110 on a radio. for now.
great for when you get used RCs and dont receive a radio or receive a crappy radio. the build quality isn't going to be the same as a more expensive radio. but for $57 its fine. didnt know why the wheel has to stick out like it does instead of being attached directly to the unit (if you know what ii mean). but just realized as i was typing that its to keep down the bulk. wish the antenna didn't have to come up. but you can lay it flat when not in use.im a Redcat guy. so i ordered 2 rx with this. but the cool thing about this is because Redcat radios are rebranded FlySkys this radio binded with the receivers in my Redcats. the receivers are inexpensive (2/$19) and small.i know most people HATE buying batteries for their tx. im probably one of the few people who dont mind as long as it only takes 4. but its cool that it comes with a rechargable pack (that was pre charged). hopefully i dont forget to charge it.i have 8 rcs and am planning to get more. some guys dont like that you can only bind 10 to this. but it doesnt bother me. ill buy more as my collection grows. you can get two of these for the price of the cheapest radios that binds 20. and when you factor in the rx price you can get 3 for the cost of radios that can bind to 30 cars.it has some good features. (a lot of guys are getting a lot more out of these after hacking.) of course not the most advanced out of the box. but bang for the buck this cant be beat.

Range Suuuuucks
So there are a few things that I didn’t like about this radio. No idle warning, no indicator light when the transmitter is on, it has a proprietary battery, and the range is terrible. I am actually fairly sure that I got a defective unit but everything seemed to be fine with the transmitter and receiver so I’m not sure but the range was so bad I’m thinking it’s possible that something was wrong with it. I ended up buying a Flysky Gt5 and it’s so much better in every possible way and even has a gyro receiver for steering compensation and traction control. Also uses standard AA batteries, has an idle warning, has an indicator light and range is crazy good. Used a range finder to test the range of both transmitters and the Gt5 was still working at 275yds and I couldn’t get it to cut out while the Gt3c was cutting out at 70yds. Highly recommend the GT5 over this transmitter/receiver, a little more expensive at about 70$ but well worth the money.
