Shade Shifter Multichrome Nail Polish- 0.5 oz Full Sized Bottle

Please excuse my hand and nails. They're not perfect, but this is after having worn the polish for one week and 2 days. I've seen reviews on chipping, and I'm not sure what's going on, but personally, there has been no chipping. Though I did put two layers of top coat because I was worried of chipping, and here are the results of that: still beautiful! It's so pretty, this is now my new favorite polish and it is worth the high price tag. I did put on a base coat, then one layer of Sally Hansen's insta-dri polish (in black). Also in other reviews, people are sharing on putting more than one layer -- in my experience, just using one black layer helped a LOT. Just one swipe of this beautiful shade & it was already well-pigmented and shimmering. I could've stopped there, but I did but on another layer to see if there wa a difference, which there wasn't. So it was mostly to cover any spots Including the two top coats, there are 6 layers of polish in the pic, but I could get away with 5, 3 or even just the black and this polish together. But to avoid chipping & have a base coat, that's at least 4 layers. (This explanation is for anyone that adds a base and top coat, but doesn't want to have like 7 or more layers on a single nail.) I love how beautiful this color is and it does shine blue in certain lighting. It's pretty trippy looking at it a certain angle and you can see both colors at once...so if you close one eye at a time, then you can see each color separately.

I put on the first, thin coat and noticed it goes on very smooth. I was a little surprised at the color. It looked green. I put on the thicker second coat and it still looked deep green, like St. Patrick's day or Christmas. I held a magnet over it and it came out looking black and green, like the cats eye effect I was hoping for. I was a little disappointed that it did not seem to have the purples and blues that I expected when I ordered it. When I later went into the kitchen, suddenly it took on a gorgeous deep blue color. When I went into the next room it was a spectrum of colors from deep teal, to dark blue, to vibrant violet. All day, everywhere I went, my nails appeared differently. It is fascinating and spectacular. I'm not an expert at applying nail polish, but I now know for certain that the polish and the brush matter more than my skill. I don't seem to slop it around my cuticles and finger tips while trying to get the nail fully covered. It goes on and looks smoother than my natural nails. It is really nice. I need to experiment more with it and where to hold the magnet for different effects.

Really like the polish so far. Pretty color and stays on well. However, the brush is way too wide. A great brush, just too wide. It holds too much polish making an even application difficult. Leaves a build-up on the tip of the nail, in the form of a ridge of polish. Have to let it semi-dry for a few minutes, then press it down which then leaves skin marks (fingerprints...) on the polish. This is the second time I've applied it. Did not try a 2nd coat the first time. Getting ready to put on a 2nd coat and will see if that goes any better. At this point, the color looks very much like the photo, but nails don't. Polish is just not smooth. Maybe the 2nd coat plus a clear top coat will help. UPDATE: 2nd coat + top coat did not help. Polish surface was too uneven for the topcoat to fill and smooth.

I like the color a lot. The color changing effect is dope/lit (however the youth refers to it). I tested it outside and it looks a lot better outside than inside. Dries quickly, I don't know how well it stays on by itself because I used a top coat to protect it either way (as I think you should). Came really quickly through mail in really pretty packaging (not that it matters much but it was nice). I have received numerous compliments and I feel great. I used around 3 coats too as most reviews say. I bought black nail polish for the base but it didn't come in time and I just wanted to test it. This is my first nail polish purchase so I don't know if the price is good or not but I will say it is for how nice the effect is and for how expensive nail polish either way seems to be. I am a guy who wanted to try it out and I don't regret it. I can't really say anything negative because I'm pretty satisfied. Update: Last around 2 weeks with a top coat and three layers of this. It didn't chip or discolor and they nail polish fell off because I frequently do stuff with my hands like chores so one nail peeled off and I decided to peel the rest off too

Update: This polish is beautiful but it dries up in the bottle quickly. I think it's the brand because I have 2 different colors from this brand and both bottles dried up even though the cap was on securely. I loved this polish enough to buy it again but this will be the last time I purchase if this bottle dries up quickly again. Also when I received the newest order, it appeared to have been opened (not used) but there was polish on the lid. THe last set of pictures (collage) are 2 coats with a glossy top coat, pics taken indoors. This polish is so gorgeous! I couldn't get good picture that would do it justice but it is so vibrant and shimmery in the sunshine. It's so much prettier in person. It's absolutely perfect for Fall, this will be my go to halloween and Thanksgiving nail polish. It's so gorgeous. It drys a bit dull so a glossy top coat is needed. Good price too. It doesn't come with a magnet but I had one from another brand. If you have a magnet it'll be perfect for you. I put this over a fading mani of multi chrome polish of another brand. I'm anxious to try it on it's own or over black nail polish. Fully opaque in one coat. I'll update with longetivity. Really pleased with it. Definitely worth it!!! You'll love it! I have a problem with nail polish because my nails are oily. I put on regular nail polish and within a day, they start peeling off my nails. I hate spending 65.00 a shot to go to a nail salon and get my nails done. I have tried Gel’s which over the counter never stays on. I bought KB Shimmer as a fluke because I wanted to see if the color was like the picture. Not only is the color’s gorgeous, but this is the first nail polish I had to physically remove after a week which shocked me (only reason, I wanted to try another color from this brand) I’m so impressed and the colors are gorgeous. The photo was after having it on for 10 days. No chips, no peeling. I have purchased 12 bottles so far and will buy all the colors (a few at a time). THANK YOU KB Shimmer for giving me an inexpensive nail polish that stays. Looking forward to buying more beautiful colors from your collection. I know this is a long post but because I have bought 12 different colors didn’t want to write a review for all of them so I’m combining it all in this one. WELL WORTH trying it out and this color is beautiful.

I got in couple days ago and needed my toes done. As I had just done my nails. Look great with or with out using a magnet. I did mine velvet ! Now super excited to wear on my nails soon too. I need to clean up my toes. But you can see how pretty
