Can you remove the wires from the ballast side so that you can reuse on a new ballast?

first handle your line side hot, 120 or 277, get it resolved, then the neutral. trash the old ballast, connect the hot and neu from the new ballasts to load side half of disconnect. if this confuses you, back away, call an electrician

Can i use them to install a new light outside the garage??? Think better that twisted wire!!

I don’t think they will work for that . They work best with solid wire.

What size wire do both ends take?

I use 16 and 18 solid copper wire

Great terminal device power disconnect.

These are made for ballast connections but we use them for point to point checkout for service contracts. Better than twisting off wirenuts to test point failures.
