Includes discussion questions for group study Review: AMAZING BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST READ!!!!!! THUMBS UP! - I loved this book so much I just bought 10 more copies to give out to people. It is really well written. I see someone in the comments wrote about lukewarm Christians making it into Heaven. The Bible says just the opposite: Revelation 3:16 Jesus says "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." We are called to turn from our sins and follow Jesus and do His will. Christians that believe that they can carry on sinning once surrendering their lives to Jesus are very wrong and may be surprised on Judgment day. Jesus says in Hebrews 10: "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." if we sin on accident we need to repent and not do it again. God takes sin so seriously that he says in 1 John 3: 9" Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin: for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is of God." So if a Christian sins, during this act of sinning they do not even belong to God. So they need to repent and get it right with God before it is too late. It's sin that separates people from God. Someone wrote how this book talks about being judged based on performance. Did they not read in the scriptures how God talks about rewards in Heaven and the least and greatest in Heaven? We must do the Father's will but how much of His will we do will determine our eternal position in Heaven. The Lord revealed to me most people in Heaven will barely make it in and get the lowest level. (They did the bare minimum of God's will for their lives.) They didn't do all that God had planned for them and/or they didn't listen to God and did their own will. God may have mercy but they may just get level 1, the lowest level in Heaven. The lowest position is still paradise but I have a hard time understanding why so many people that chose Jesus over satan don't care about what position in Heaven they will receive, as long as they make it there. It is hard for my heart to understand this because eternity is FOREVER and whatever level those that make it to heaven get judged to, that will be their level for ALL ETERNITY. They will never be able to move up. I really did enjoy this book a LOT. The Lord has revealed to me many things about Heaven and hell but I learned even more from reading this book. Also check out Bevere'e book "Rescued". It is also amazing! There is one thing I disagree with Bevere on in his books. He says there will be a place in Heaven where we can go to view the Lake of Fire as a "reminder." But the Bible has several scriptures that say the remembrance of those that perished will be erased from our minds forever, so we will not remember the people we knew that didn't make it. God revealed to me the very last thing he will do after Judgement day when the very last person is judged is throw the Lake of Fire in another dimension never to be found again and then God Himself is going to erase the Lake of Fire from his own mind so that for all eternity He will never remember it exists or anyone in it exists. And it makes sense what God revealed to me. How could God be happy in eternity knowing there are people suffering greatly?- This would mean God would have pain in His heart forever. I used to have a friend that would tell me, when I revealed this to him, "God will do Himself a favor." Bevere quotes Isaiah 66: 22-24 but if you read Isaiah 65: 17-25 even though verse 17 talks about the New Heavens and new Earth verse 18+ talks about that people will die so this is no longer talking about the new Heavens and the New Earth. People will not die in the New Heavens and the New Earth. So the scripture Bevere quotes is not talking about that those in Heaven will get to see/visit the Lake of Fire. The scripture Bevere quotes means something else, maybe the 1,000 year reign of Christ? The Bible clearly says one can lose salvation. Soon on this earth there will be a great falling away. (Can't fall away if weren't in Christ to begin with) And the scripture says the punishment will be more severe for those that were once in Christ and turn away then never having known the Lord to begin with. The Lord will never leave us but we do indeed have the free will to leave Him. I hope all that read this book will get on the right path with Jesus if they have steered away and ask Jesus what their purpose is. Everyone has a calling on their life that will always lead to impacting others for the gospel ( reaching souls to Jesus). I really enjoyed this book. It made me get really serious about what the Lord has called me to do in my own personal life. I have a lot of work to do. This book was super encouraging and touched my heart. My prayer is that those that read it will not just make it into Heaven but will get a great position where they will be at for all eternity. The only reason we are here on this earth is it is a test if we will chose satan or Jesus and whom we will serve. And if we chose Jesus, it is a test to see how much of His will for our lives we will be obedient to obey. The result of this very short life will determine our complete eternity. It is serious, -not to be taken lightly. I plan to read this book over and over again throughout my life. It is precious and God used John Bevere to deliver a message in this book. He wasn't going to become a writer but God sent people to him warning him if he didn't write , God would have someone else write this message. This really touched my heart. If I don't do what God clearly spoke to me to do, God will give my mission to someone else. This was a wake up call! You need to get this book! If you can't afford it, buy used, but please get your copy. It's really really good! And it is easy to understand. I love you all! I am nearly 52 and have been a christian since God Himself called me out at the age of 5. When I was 8 I was called to be a missionary. Somehow my life went down the wrong path. I married and had 5 children, all of whom I have led to the Lord and their children as well. Instead of becoming a missionary I was a Sunday school teacher and also taught children's church. As a profession I followed my mother as a registered nurse. I have always remembered the voice and words that called me to the mission field and have always felt that my life was incomplete. My profession and involvement with my children's lives and work at church brought me many opportunities to witness and I was successful many times. While reading this book I've come to understand a realize so many things. How many would I have been able to reach if I had obeyed and followed my calling? How many will be lost? But their is hope also. Its not too late to come to obedience and to complete my true calling and why I was created. I have decided to immediately turn to the Lord and follow His will for my life, wherever that may take me. I feel refreshed and clean and filled with hope for this next step of my life. I know in following His will I will feel complete and one day hope to hear the words I've longed to hear from my Lord. Well done My good and faithful servant. Whatever comes will be worth it just to hear those words. My life is filled with an excitement I cannot remember having and I can't wait to take my first steps! Thankyou John Bevere! And most of all my Lord who brought this book and author to my attention while surfing kindle books!

An old message, but perhaps many have not heard it before.
Our pastor is doing a foundational teaching on making disciples as THE calling in the life of every believer. He recommended 'Driven By Eternity' as a book he would like for every member of the church to read. I wish I didn't have to make it clear that he has no financial interest in doing so, but I think I need to. Those of us who chose to follow through purchased the books through any outlet we chose. We DID get an email directing us to some discount sources, and to one ministry which with provide the book for whatever you can afford, but our church maintains open financial records, and we don't get any kickbacks. I read a lot of eBooks, and I provided the church with the link for the Kindle version, which is the least expensive alternative (apart from used copies). I know that my entire belief system is profoundly affected by the time and fashion I came to the Lord. I was a new (and weak) Christian in high school when 'The Late, Great Planet Earth' was published in 1970. I attended the Campus Crusade for Christ meetings then, and the first retreat program I ever attended was all about the nearness of the end of times. Therefore, I have always carried with me a sense of immediacy, of urgency, about my salvation. While in the Army, I was a member of a tight fellowship of Christian believers, who reached out to each other for support in an environment that was hostile. After the army, I was a part of a fledgling Christian community, where we held all property in common. That intense focus has remained an integral part of my understanding of who I am, and my place in the kingdom. As the years went by, my lifestyle expanded. I went to college, and that took up time, as did the career I entered after my second degree. Through it all, though, with time off for bad behavior, the church remained the center focus of my social group, and I was determined that my relationship with Christ came first. Therefore, Bevere's work seems to me to be true, but not shocking. I think it's important, because it stands against two conflicting examples of bad teaching and preaching. On one extreme, sermons emphasizing hellfire and damnation drove people not to experience salvation so much as to buy spiritual fire insurance. The didn't particularly want to go to Heaven, but they sure didn't go to Hell. Against that, Bevere teaches: "If you love God, you will have no trouble keeping His commandments! If serving God is an obligation, you have entered into a legalistic relationship, and it will be hard to keep His commandments. We should not serve God to earn His approval; we should serve God because we are in love with Him!" (pages 135-136). On the other extreme is the idea that because God loves and forgives, it doesn't really matter what we do. That seems to be the more common message today. Bevere has this to say: "This keeps us under the awareness that every thought, word, and deed will be made manifest at the judgment. Having this consciousness keeps us humble, cautious, sober-minded, tender, and aware of temptations to disobey." (page 144) He is speaking about the Lordship issue; he is referencing the fact that God is the supreme and righteous authority over our lives. Both of these are essential. God is our Father in Heaven. Last night, I watched my two young grandsons frolic with their daddy, who is my firstborn son. It was clear that they loved him and craved the interaction. However, it was also clear that they respected his authority. When one of them would get too loud, or play too rough, and he corrected them, they immediately modified their behavior ( at least for the moment!). There is a truth in that interaction about our relationship with Father God: love, excitement in His presence, and first-time obedience. These are essential concepts; for me, they are mostly not new revelations. My personal take-away is this: am I complacent about whether or not my works will endure? Having committed my life to God, am I sitting idle, and not giving Him honest work He deserves? That's not a one-time answer, but I hope that my local church will help me to be a worthy worker.

AMAZING CD'S BROUGHT THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE
"DRIVEN BY ETERNITY" IS UNIQUE AND AMAZING.....BUT ALSO A LITTLE SCARY. IT CAUSED ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO A FEW THINGS I HADN'T REALLY TAKEN TO HEART BEFORE LISTENING TO IT. IT HIT HOME, IN THAT IT MADE ME BECOME HIGHLY CONCERNED (IN A WAY I HADN'T BEEN BEFORE) ABOUT THOSE FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES WHO HAVE NOT YET COME TO ACCEPT CHRIST. THE ALLEGORY BEVERE USES TO CONVEY HIS POINT COMES TO LIFE IN THE CD VERSION OF THIS BOOK. WHILE LISTENING TO IT I BEGAN TO FEEL MYSELF BECOMING FOND OF THE CHARACTERS AND CARING ABOUT HOW THEIR LIVES WOULD TURN OUT. ANYONE WHO THINKS CHRISTIANITY IS A FABLE OR A MYTH NEEDS TO LISTEN TO THIS CD SERIES. IT BRINGS TO LIFE THE POTENTIAL OUTCOME MANY PEOPLE WILL BE FACING IN THE END. I COULD BARELY STAND TO TURN OFF THE CD PLAYER, SOMETIMES SITTING IN MY CAR LISTENING LONG AFTER I HAD ARRIVED AT MY DESTINATION. THIS IS A WONDERFUL BOOK FOR BELIEVERS YET MAY WORK TO STRIKE A TAD BIT OF FEAR IN THE NON BELIEVER...PERHAPS JUST ENOUGH TO GET HIM/HER TO DO THERI DUE DILIGENCE AND GIVE DAILY BIBLE READING A SHOT. I PLAN TO BUY SEVERAL MORE OF THE CD SETS TO GIVE OUT TO THOSE WHOM I CARE DEEPLY ABOUT AND WHOSE LIVES IT WILL IMPACT IN A PROFOUND WAY. I LOVED IT! #Amazon

An Invigorating book!
I am a little past half way reading this book, and I have totally enjoyed every bit of it. John is a terrific writer. This book has shown me the gospel in its entirety. The book opened my eyes to see the seemingly little things that we miss as Christians (especially after so many years) that are very important about our faith in Christ. I definitely recommend this book to every Christian new and old alike to consider what the writer is presenting. Great book, thanks John Bevere.
