Revell '69 Chevy Nova Yenko Plastic Model Kit

Well engineered, with superior fit and molding quality. Some minor details are not perfectly accurate to the Yenko edition, but close enough for me. I'm combining it with the similar 2-in-1 Nova kit, also from Revell, to build a 427 dragster and 350 street SS. It's great when manufacturers make several versions of a vehicle, with optional parts, so modelers can "kit-bash" their own creations, especially when they are at Revell's top-notch quality. I will update this review with photos when mine is done.

I built a nova before and it was junk. But this one is a much better kit. Much better quality thank you for the chance to build it.

My husband bought this model with his christmas present Amazon card. He used to win awards doing models as a kid and wanted to give it a try again. He is loving putting it together. Watch out for the tiny metal pins for the tires. He unknowing threw them away. I wrote and asked seller and was told they were in a separate part of the clear packages which held parts. I dived into the trash and found them!

My husband loves this model kit. The detail on each piece is amazing. Definitely for the more experienced model car assembler.

There is nothing bad I can say about this kit. It's fit and finish were great, with minimal flash and no fit problems at all. The decals are good and there's enough to make a great looking Yanko Nova. The interior is detailed as well as the engine. If you want a relaxing detailed build this is the kit you're looking for.

There are a few versions of this Revell kit, with different parts. No rear slicks in this one but not a problem. The Revell kit is nicer & more accurate than AMT's version.

Package item was as advertised. The box must have been opened at one point because it was taped shut and the plastic wrap was gone. The parts sets inside are all still sealed up in plastic so it was no big deal. Model prices have been going up steadily for the last 15 years or so. The price is comparable to store prices. I would recommend this kit.

This seems to be par for the course with Chevy Nova kits from Revell. It's missing the metal wheel pins and as such, the model can not even be completed. I have no idea where to get just replacement pins and I certainly don't want to gamble with paying $25 for another model and it not have the pins either. Would be a 5 star kit otherwise but no wheel pins is a serious issue.

Just another good revell kit. Overall was a pretty easy build. Instructions were as to be expected by revell (very descriptive and detailed pictures) came with a few optional pieces.
