Franklin Sports Pro Hoops Adjustable Wall-Mounted Basketball Hoop - XL

Great hoop for frequent use. If you're buying it, it's probably because you've had a few over the door hoops broken. The brackets are 15" apart, so won't line up with studs in most homes. (Franklin, make the next one 16" please.) I originally put it in one stud and the other side with heavy duty drywall anchors. That coupled with a strict "no dunking" rule got us through about 18 months of frequent use. Eventually the drywall anchors gave out and a sturdier option was needed. Pictured is 2, 1"x4" boards, painted the wall color, screwed to the studs on both sides and the hoop attached to the boards. I wish I'd done that originally.

My kids love it! The ball it comes with is super loud but not issues. If your kids are feral like mine they will put holes in the wall “dunking.” We put some padded tiles up and have not had any issues.

Not worth it very flimsy

This was a christmas gift for my 11 year old and was his favorite gift. I was nervous about drilling holes into the walls but we had an over the door one before and it broke 2 months in so I was looking for something more durable. This is so secure to the wall, my son even dunks the ball and it doesnt budge. It also has springs so if they do dunk, it isnt putting pressure on the wall but just springs back up. The adjustable arms for height is also a plus. My husband put this together in about an hour and didn't need any assistance either.

Hesitant to purchase after seeing other reviews with glue and the backboard loose, but so glad I bought. Sometimes people come here just to write a bad experience and not the good. Very good quality! Easy to install! Perfect size, and a great price!

I bought this for my son’s bedroom we are renovating for him. He is obsessed with basketball so I needed a backboard for his room. This one is PERFECT! So many are huge for outdoor use but I needed one for indoor. This was is a little less than 2 feet wide and about 16 in tall. It is perfect for his bedroom! It is also sturdy, well made, and resilient. Hanging it on the wall will give him the look he wants with “decor” that is interactive! Fully recommend this one for anyone looking for a little smaller board for indoor!

I'll start with the likes- I have three boys and they have been loving the hoop. Lots of dunks and it's still hanging sturdy on the wall. We went through a lot of over-the-door hoops, and they only last a few weeks. This definitely seems a lot more solid. Dislikes- The directions are bad. I wish they gave recommendation on installation height; (i.e. if bracket is 7' off the ground, hoop can be adjusted to 6-8' ht.). I wish I would have installed it higher, but once it's up, you're not going to want to move it again. The included hardware and "tools" are TERRIBLE. The screws immediately stripped when installing into studs. I would plan on using your own hardware and tools. The rim is bent upwards, see picture. Doesn't seem to affect the fun my kids are having, but it's a bit annoying that we can't flatten it. Finally, the mini basketball has a slow leak. Its a great ball other than having to fill it every day. I emailed Franklin customer support asking for a replacement ball. I'll update review if/when they respond.

Alright quality but hoop came with glue marks, poorly packaged and packaged with a baby crate? And peices falling out the box taped up to the baby crate that was not ordered i recommend the hoop but dont buy it from here

Great option for an indoor hoop for kids or teenagers. Assembly was quite easy and straightforward. You can play pretty rough on it without any damage. Only problem is that the backboard make too much loud noise when ball hits on it. Being able to adjust it is an amazing feature.
