Celebrating 10 years since they first recorded together, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga return for another collaboration featuring the best of the Cole Porter Songbook. This album captures the creative and personal relationship of these two world-famous artists. Tony has spent over 7 decades dedicated to performing the Great American Songbook. Accompanied by the Brian Newman Quintet with arrangements by Marion Evans and Jorge Callandrelli. Review: Lady Gaga has learned phrasing. - Tony Bennett's singing is not as effortless as it once was, but he is still Tony Bennett and that is way more than enough. Lady Gaga has become conversational in her singing -- expressing the meaning of the words better as if she were speaking to the listener. I think that is called phrasing. Sinatra was regarded as a great singer on his phrasing alone after his voice was diminished. Gaga's voice is powerful, and now intimate at the same time. Bennett and Gaga work well together. The arrangements are not monotonous -- different instruments are featured on different tracks. These are Cole Porter songs and stand up to different arrangements and interpretations. For a really good time, compare the performance of "I get a kick out of you" to the one by Dolly Parton. Review: WOW! Tony and the Lady! WOW!! - You have got to listen to this astounding CD! I'm tired of hearing about his age!! If we are all lucky enough to reach our 90's, we should be so lucky to still retain our talents!! The guy can still sing! And he sounds terrific!! His timing is so good! His voice is still Tony Bennett! And the Lady---what a talented singer is she!! True there are only ten cuts. But all ten are great!! If you are a Bennett fan, this is a must!! If Lady Gaga is your choice, this is a must!! And apart or together they are a fabulous pair!! Great songs! Great performances! Great CD!!

GREST CD
The CD was delivered with the case all cracked up. No problem, I put the CD in another case. This CD highlights one of the great crooners in musical history. Yes, Tony's voice is not what it used to be but Lady Gaga brings out the best of him and he, obviously enjoys recording with her as a great talent. How can anyone critisize a man who has recorded great songs for over 30 years and will leave his career with American songs that will last forever. While there are only 10 songs on the album, they are great and will remain tops in my collection. America is losing this music and I appreciate these two artists recording mor for us to treasure.

invitation to glorious new world
This summer, a veteran singer announced his retirement from concert activities. Tony Bennett is said to have been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease lately. “Love For Sale” is Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga’s second album after “Cheek To Cheek.” The previous work was well received in the United States and Japan, but this work also delivered the best entertainment to listeners. The sequel proposal was said to be made by Bennett to Gaga on the day of the release of the previous work. What’s more, this time with Cole Porter for all songs! The second chapter of their meeting, actually the third collaboration since “Duets II,” became a collection of Cole Porter song books as Bennett envisioned. “It’s De-lovely” starting with Gaga’s pretty singing voice changes to a swingy rhythm with her shout, ‘Comin’ on.’ A singing voice that makes you feel Tony’s spirit flows and it becomes a dialogue between the two. In “Night and Day,” which starts at high speed and changes to medium tempo, Tony and Gaga sing happily on a wonderful arrangement. Bennett gently snuggles up to Gaga with his experienced singing style. I was also impressed with Gaga’s piquant cleanliness against Tony. “Love For Sale” is a song of a woman who prostitutes herself easily. I can’t help but to be thrilled with Tony’s scene description at the beginning. Gaga responds to Bennett’s withered territory with a youthful singing voice. When you touch the rich and glittering overlap of them, it seems like an invitation to a glorious new world for a moment. The album contains two solo songs for each. In “Do I Love You,” which sings the maiden’s love, made my heart squeak. Tony’s melancholy singing voice in “So In Love” is irresistible. It would be rude to expect a 95-year-old veteran to have a strong voice and luster. I can feel his frustration that his voice is weak and he can’t express what he wants, but I’m strongly moved by the song here. Isn’t he truly unique in accepting the decline and inspiring creativity for the song? The album end with “Dream Dancing.” Even after the record is over, their singing voice echo in my head, ‘…and let me make my career. Dream dancing to paradise prancing.…with you.’ Both are celebrities who know their hardships and are of Italian descent. Perhaps this album has something in common that resonates with each other, even though they are from different generations.

Love for Sale CD
The cd case came cracked in the back, I just wish that Amazon put more care into packing cds since there’s just so fragile.. putting them in those blue bags isn’t good enjugh, there needs to be more protection but it’s a good price still.

Tony Bennett's last album <3
This is Tony Bennett's last - probably final - album, recorded with his friend Lady Gaga. They are wonderful together, and his talent makes her voice better - she sounds a lot like Ella Fitzgerald here, and I cannot think of a higher compliment for a woman singer than that. I will cherish this album because I have been in love with Tony Bennett ever since a long-ago student turned me onto his Christmas album many years ago. I have a large number - I've never counted, but, more than 15 - of Tony's albums. He is precious to me. If you want a good cry, watch the 60 Minutes interview by Anderson Cooper with the two of them.

A warm way to listen to a classic duet
I am not going to review two Grammy Award Winning artists as I am not a paid critic and this is considered a great addition to the American Songbook on vinyl. The recording is clean and the sound is warm at least on my system. That being said, do not ruin this record or any other record that cost more than $4.98 by playing it on a Crossley or Victrola or other turntable that doesn't have an audio technica cartridge or above as you will be damaging the record after it's first play. In a century where mass audio has been replaced with records that range from 140-200 gram pressings. Invest in an under $700 system (shop around) that includes a turntable, receiver with phono input and two speakers (wireless) . It can be done on Amazon, Costco online, Monoprice(available on Amazon and direct) or other providers. If you don't want to hook into your tv then the Sony STR DH190 is your go to and the whole system will cost around $600 or less

Firstly, the item was delivered early and well packaged so very happy. If you're unsure about this - perhaps you think Lady Gaga can't hack it with a Jazz Great like Tony Bennett, or perhaps you think it's not what you'd like from Lady Gaga then think again. It's a really lovely album. He is, of course, Tony Bennett with all that he brings to the table. Lady Gaga has a beautiful voice and really does shine here. Not in an overbearing way - it's clearly an album by BOTH people - but in a way that makes you think "Yes, this is good music". If you like Jazz I think you'll like this album and if you like Lady Gaga I also think you'll like this album.

It was a gift for my wife. Tony Bennett has been with me all my life and that is a long time at 90. He always managed to be a pure Jazz performer with good arrangements and good music overall. lady Gaga is complimenting this great 95 year old master performer better than anyone before. She is a fantastic singer and fits great with her love for the man ,as a close friend ,in difficult circumstances.. A masterful peace of good music, jazz and love. One advice, buy it!
