It really works for climbing
I ordered this product to build a house three for my son and the spikes worked perfect for me. I was trying to climb for long time and I felt comfortable and safe. It looks exactly as the images

The spikes was all that came nothing else. As of right now their useless
The product is not useable at the moment because it only sent me the spikes. Nothing the use to pull yourself up the tree. That's the point in the whole purchase.

Need big calf to use
I guess I'm too skinny (182). The green strap doesn't tighten all the way. I have to add towel around my calf to make it tight. I was surprised at how the spikes gripped the tree. I thought they would slide out. They don't. You step up and the spike stays buried and grips.

with a little modification these work well.
the straps intended for securing your boot area appear to have been designed for a small child, not nearly long enough to go around the device and my boot, and they are cheap made, also the padding for the leg is not nearly enough (I added a set of shoe insoles to them.) I also bought a couple of thick leather dog collars to replace the short straps sent with this product, but for the money (including the mods I made) it's still a good price compared to the hundreds charged by other sellers. I was in a tree the same day as they arrived.
