Thicker, stronger and smoother than OEM
I was having all kinds of trouble with the controls on my 90 hp Johnson outboard. I cleaned and lubed the linkages on the motor and the internal workings of the control box. It was better but it was still sticky and liked to bind up. I bought these cables to replace the factory originals. These cables are much thicker than the factory OMC cables but somehow they are also easier to flex and route. Now that they are installed, the controls are smoove as buttah. I'm glad I spent the extra money on these instead of standard aftermarket or factory Johnson/Evinrude cables.
