Is this glue sandable?

As with all Cyanoacrylate based adhesives (which are essentially a liquid acrylate plastic), it is hard to sand and tends to either melt, turn white or (if you do carefully sand it with a 200+ grit paper) the finish seldom is aesthetically pleasing. Cyanoacrylate adhesive/glues (including this one) are, in my own experience, not ideal at hiding any surface imperfections or allowing the glues edges to be sanded in an outward taper. Simple answer: It’s pretty much the same as sanding a sheet of acrylic plastic, you can do it, but rarely do the results look good.

Plastic was not on the list of materials this will bond. Will it work with hard plastics?

It should no problem . But be careful with painted plastics . I have seen it have adverse effects on some paints .

Can you use it to fill gaps in wood?

I wouldn't think so, unless they are tiny. It's a super glue, for joining smooth surfaces, not for filling gaps. If the gaps are significant, I'd use a product designed to fill gaps in wood. Most hardware stores sell such products.

I have a broken Willow Tree Figurine -- do you think this would work on a porous item ?

I just broke the handle off a special cup I purchased on a great vacation. I used 30 minute epoxy to repair it. The super glue type adhesive may hold but the repair would be temporary. It is important to clamp or tightly secure the glued parts for any adhesive to work. My suggestion would be a quality 5 minute epoxy. That would set quickly enough you could hold it in place until it will stay on its own. Hope this helps, Allen.
