Delightful and portable
These are sooooo good. One cake is just right for me, as I’m not a big breakfast eater, but most people will want two, I think, as a serving, It is just sweet enough from the blueberries, and a modest amount of sugar in the dough. The texture is between a scone and a soft-baked cookie. I heated it in a toaster bag and it was just amazingly good. I did not use syrup or jam, but it would pair well with them. This would be a nice and quick “breakfast in the car” on the way to work or school, as it’s not messy at all without syrup or jam, yet still has a touch of sweetness. I will be ordering more.

Utterly delicious!
I had never had a Welsh Cake - or even heard of them - before seeing these listed on Amazon. I was intrigued, and decided to try them. My husband is possibly more into them than I am, saying they were one of the best things he's eaten. He particularly likes the currant ones. I've since ordered more directly from their website. They frequently have 15% off codes and they sell larger packs and you can select which flavors you'd like. They also have scones, but I prefer the Welsh cakes. Additionally, they sell griddled shortbread that's delicious. Welsh cakes have a dry texture, but they are great with something like double cream or lemon curd, among other jams. On their website, they even have box options that allow you to select a certain number of add-ons like this (picture is of one such order). Even butter is nice on them. They are denser than a typical cookie, but not as dense as most scones, and the outer layer has a subtle crispness. The quality is excellent, and they'd make a great gift!

Tiny and DELICIOUS!
If you've ever been to Wales, this is the delectable cake a good Welsh housewife will make for you for tea! Tiny, delicate, luscious, Welsh Cakes are perfect for afternoon tea! Serve them warm with a tiny bit of butter or strawberry jam with a nice afternoon tea menu including things like cucumber sandwiches and you will be very happy! They are TINY, so plan to serve several to each of your guests.

Addictive!
I am a fan of scones and wanted to try these. I expected them to be the size of English muffins, but they are smaller—about the size of silver-dollar pancakes. However, the flavor is all there; two are enough to have with your morning coffee. These are great and not too sweet if you want a morning treat. Great with butter. I would get them again.

Delicious!!! Recommend to everyone to try them, they’re addictive
Soooo good! I fell in love with Welsh Cakes years ago, and I’m so happy I found proper cakes again!!! These are so delicious, a dense sweet griddled cake studded with rich currants… a wonderful burst of flavor! Granted, many people find them a little dry—they’re meant to be a tad dry so they won’t be too wet when taken with tea or coffee (tea is best, especially an Earl Grey with milk). That’s from the batter and griddling… helps them blend in the mouth with the tea. So good, I ate a whole pack (4) before I knew it, and I’m so very not sorry I gorged lol.

Fairly tasty, little cake
A very heavy emphasis on little. Was quite disappointed how small they are for the price. A bit dry and crumbly but quite tasty. Given their size, I don't think I will purchase them again.

Hands down the best Welsh cakes I've had on either side of the Pond!!
These are far BETTER than the bara brith I got in Wales last month! The flavours are exquisite and warmed up with a knob of butter and a cup of good, strong tea would make the angels themselves envious! I highly recommend the savoury ones, cheese and onion. They are absolutely superb!! I wasn't able, unfortunately, to try the maple and pecan ones as I have a food allergy but my granddaughters didn't leave a single crumb. And with 7, 5,and 2 year olds that was remarkable.

Hockey Pucks
Oh dear. I've just read so many positive reviews of these things and I feel like I'm not even talking about the same item at all! Maybe mine were stale? I didn't think to check for a sell by date. But seriously, these little baby chews were a major disappointment. First off...I thought they would be more or less the size of our English Muffins. Not! They are a two bite...okay, maybe three bite little solid biscuit, VERY dense and hard. Lots of chewing is required to get the taste, which is not unpleasant, but as others have complained, quite sweet. You will eat three or four of them, dipped in your coffee and probably not buy them again . If you happen to drop one on the floor....never mind. It will not break as these are indestructible! I've decided that these "Welsh Cakes" are probably best eaten right out of a Welsh kitchen, right out of a Welsh oven....maybe then they'd be worth the price.
