**Q: Can i plug it to my phone and play a YouTube video to make a sample**
A: Of course, the NTS-1 has an audio out.  Assuming you have the appropriate cables and some form of recording app, e.g. a DAW or sampling app, you should be able to create YouTube content or samples.

**Q: Is there any soldering reqquired?**
A: No soldering required.

**Q: when a midi and audio source are plugged in will it output both at the same time through the headphones?**
A: Yeah, whatever is going through the audio on will go through the main audio output.

**Q: What does this actually do?**
A: It's a cool DIY synth project build (anyone can do it - similar to the old Radio Shack build projects).  Great as a gift.
