Wait and See: Finding Peace in God's Pauses and Plans Review: Wait and See - This book proved to be a perfect read during a time in my life that has been filled with waiting. It was real and honest with the author’s (and other’s) experiences of waiting and remembering God’s faithfulness. I found the suggested Psalms so helpful to refocus my thoughts. I highlighted over and over as I read through this one. I know I’ll be reading it again as a refresher for my faith in times of waiting. 5 stars Review: A Must Read for Anyone Who Has Ever Experienced Waiting! - In this world of instant messaging, instant food, and instant access to news around the world, most of us find it difficult to wait for anything. As a Christian, I find waiting on God’s timing especially frustrating. In her book, Wait and See, Wendy Pope gives us a new way to look at waiting. It is not wasted time, but a time of preparation and renewal. Wendy uses the stories of four real people to illustrate the beauty and benefits from waiting on God. Through the Bible study at the end of each chapter, we also learn how David waited. Wendy’s conversational writing style and her poignant vulnerability give this book an intensely personal touch and easy readability. At the end of the book is a journal for each chapter—a great way to help the reader process the information and relate lessons learned to his/her life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced a period of waiting—for healing, for a job, for children, for direction in life. It has completely changed my thoughts on why we wait and how to wait well.

Such a great book!
This book is such an easy read and has been so helpful to me during this season of waiting. I absolutely love the layout! I’m each chapter, there are a few pages of regular reading, then scripture references with short answer questions, and then lastly prompts to guide you in writing your own chapter! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful book!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and author but I also bought a copy for a friend who I knew needed this message. I am working my way through the book and I am really enjoying it so far. I am about a 1/3 of the way through. I love the digging deeper section after each chapter. I would definitely recommend this book especailly if you are going through a particularly hard time and feel like God just is not showing up. Learning to find His peace in every season of life is key!

Such a nourishing and wonderful read!
Will this opportunity come available? Wait and see. Will my efforts finally be rewarded? Wait and see. Will I get that job/promotion? Wait and see. Will I meet my goal to_____? Wait and see. This is our life. We all have hopes, dreams, and expectations, but more often than not, we're stuck in a season of waiting. And waiting is hard. So. Hard. Reading Wait and See [affiliate link] was like finally having that drink of water when you've been stuck in the wilderness for so long. It's nourishing and gives you that little oomph to keep going. My soul needed these words, and I'm so thankful God used Wendy to speak to me in this season. It reminded me that joy is found in the journey--in tending your own pasture. Joy is found in the quiet corners of our lives, precious time spent with our families. We can't live for some thing/event, or everything will pass us by. Tiny, seemingly insignificant moments, are the building blocks of life, and a well-lived life is found in the present.

Just the words I needed to pour into my soul!
Waiting is hard. Wendy's words from the Holy Spirit within her and her experience in the wait, helped me understand what I was feeling and comfort to know someone understood what I was going through. She helped me put to words the whirlwind within my flesh and spirit. I appreciated the probing questions of my own personal struggle with my wait and helped me make sense of myself. Also her consistent and persistent argument that in the wait God is still good. So good from cover to cover! Thank you and thank God for using your struggle with waiting to comfort me in my wait. I too will do the same when I encounter a woman struggling in her wait. Glory to God!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, but started reading it and became absorbed in it because it’s excellent! I would highly recommend it and I’ll give it to her later as a gift

A relatable, important, and Spirit-breathed book for those waiting
This book read my mail. It was so relevant, and was absolutely used to confirm the Truth amid lies during my personal wilderness season. In it were lessons and scriptures God put on my heart, sometimes the day before or day of then stumbling upon them again in these chapters. I recommend this to anyone who feels isolated, abandoned, unheard by God, depressed, or struggling with doubt. God is GOOD; hold onto faith in that one truth, and the lies the Enemy tells us amid chaos and disorder in our circumstances, will just have to be silenced, ignored, and taken captive. We have the victory through Christ Jesus! Satan has already lost! Don’t listen to his lies.
