SHARP Handy washing machine Ultrasonic washer UW-A1-S (Silver)(Japan Import-No Warranty)

I saw this product on NHK World's tech show "Great Gear" and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was available on Amazon. So, I decided to take a bit of a flyer and buy one. I am glad I did. It works and then some. For those who haven't seen this in action, it looks like a big marker, except the tip is an ultrasonic head that focuses sonic waves. The idea is that the waves are able to break up deep set stains on fabric which can then be washed out in the laundry. Just power up, press and move it on the stain- which will break up some stains right there- and then throw it in the wash. The complete package is the wand, a USB power cord which can be plugged into a US wall socket, a stand for the wand and a travel sponge in case you need to do some spot soaking outside of the home. It works the best the sooner you can get to the stain- no surprises there. I recently discovered a nasty stain that had a whole day to set. Did a quick soak with some soap and then ran the wand over the fairly large stain. Threw it in the wash and when I took it out, I had no idea where the stain had been. On stains that have been there for a while, it might take multiple efforts, but you will notice a difference after the first pass. A couple of pointers: 1) it doesn't make any noise so you might not think it is working. Put it on a wet stain and watch the bubbles appear. You'll see it in action. 2) the point of the tip can get pretty hot, so don't touch it directly after it has been on a while 3) you do have to do an initial charge and even then, once it is charged, you will need to press the power button for about 3 seconds for it to turn on. When the button glows white, it is operative. If you are a bit messy, or you have some clothes you love but don't wear because of some stains, I recommend this product. It does what it says it will.

I tested my sharp ultrasonic stain remover with a brand new white K-25 towel which has very deep waffle structures that should make stains difficult to get rid of. It took a bit longer than I expected to get rid of the stain, but it was nothing more than an extra 30 seconds than my expectations. The sound coming from the device is not pleasant, so you will have to bear with it for a minute or two. Check out posted photos and a video. There is one picture with a brown/grey fabric background where my towel is completely new and never before used. Then another photo with a patch of srirach stain. Then an after photo. The video will show you the device being used. One tip, if you can quickly rinse an area before using the device, do it because it will probably make the process a lot faster.

This device seemed too good to be true when I saw it on a store display. The salesperson explained that it can remove stubborn stains without harming the fabric. I know from my own experience that scrubbing an old stain with a toothbrush is not very effective and the fabric may be damaged. This product's ability to be much better than a toothbrush seemed unbelievable. I bought it anyway and was amazed to learn that it really works as well as claimed. I used it on several garments and found that it removed old food stains and sweat stains that a toothbrush would never have removed, and it did not fray the fabric at all. The key is to soak the area well with soapy water. When there is enough water, the otherwise silent cleaning head makes a tiny noise and visible water vapor rises up. I'm very happy with the performance of this device. 2018 August update: I bought another one on Amazon.

Good device. Our friend ordered it and we saw how it works when he spill coffee on a white fabric chair. Giving only 4 stars because for the money it cost you could print a few English pages for manual. Now I have to search online and print it myself.

白シャツをよく着るので買ってみました。 最初適当に袖口の黒ずみに当てて見たところさほど汚れが落ちず、こんなものかと思ってしまいましたが悔しいので色々やって見ました。 ・洗濯石鹸を塗る ・液体洗剤を少しいれた温水に軽く浸す ・ノズルを水に浸しすぎない これらの条件でかなりよく取れるようになりました。 襟等にも意外に効いているのでいい感じです。シミの種類によっては向き不向きがあるようですが私の用途では概ね満足です。 歯ブラシで良いとの声も聞こえますが、仕組み上深いところの汚れまで取れそうなのと、生地を痛めづらい点でこちらにも利点があります。 ただし、電池が貧弱ですね。今時Ni-MHの900mAhなんて謎すぎます。よほどノズルの部品が高くついたのでしょうか。 乾電池式にするか、Li-Ionの大容量なものに変えて欲しい感じはあります。

布を外しにくいロールカーテンの、汚れを簡単に綺麗にできて満足です。洗濯機に入れにくいものを綺麗にできるところが良いと思います。繊維を摩擦で傷つけにくいところも良いと思われます。

きっと汚れに悩んでるから欲しい人が多いと思うのです。実際、私も旦那の作業服を綺麗にしたくて買いましたし、、、。すぐについた汚れや、私がちょっと汚した日常の汚れやシミはゴシゴシしなくても落ちます。これは生地にいいと思います。ただ、主人の作業服にはあまりにも本体が小さいのと、汚れが強すぎて無理でした。ワイシャツの襟袖汚れやシミ落としには効果があるので、最初失敗したなーこれは無駄な買い物しちゃったなぁ。と失望したのですが、結局使ってます。マイナス点は、充電のゴム蓋が閉めにくく、たぶんそのうち取れる気しかしないのと、面積が小さい、充電式であること。
