Hot Tools Mini 1/2" Prof. Spring Hair Curling Iron #1103

I bought this so I could curl my mother-in-laws hair. It is short and fine. It heats up hotter than most, because it is more a commercial hot iron, so you wouldn't want to hold it too long on the hair or I am assuming it might fry the hair. It has a long flexible cord, which was great. Overall it worked really well, was easy to hold and grasp a small amount of fine hair at any point in the iron without the hair slipping through, which happened all the time with my old one. I would recommend this product.

The HT1103 has been the best curling iron investment I've made. It is easy to use, heats quickly, holds hair tightly while curling and gives a great curl. The handle on this model is very easy to manoeuvre. I have purchased two of the Model 1103 previously and this recent purchase was for a third bathroom. The iron is durable and lasts many years, you won't be disappointed. And, my orders have always arrived when promised.

I have bought this product many times in the past. I always keep a spare curling iron on hand. I bought this product in Jan. 2025, but have just now started to use it. I could not figure out why my hair was only curling very loosely. I finally compared it to my old curling iron (same model) and realized that the clamp is not nearly as tight. I tried to tighten the screws on the spring, but no luck. Now I am stuck with a useless curling iron and need to buy another to replace it.. In all other cases, I have found this product to be reliable over multiple years.
