Great book to juice up dragon encounters.
Interesting read. Very inspiring. Gets the creative juices flowing. It doesn't repeat a lot of the information from the Monster Manual, so you almost need both books to really work up a nice dragon. It's more a supplement to flesh out a dragon from an generic monster encounter into a NPC force in your world. If you just need to drop a dragon into the adventure to be fought and have it's lair looted, you won't need this. If you want a cabal of dragons with mixed agendas planning against each other and using PCs as pawns/allies with mixed mysterious motivations and multiple hidden lairs in exotic locations, this is a great resource. Everyone uses Dungeons, but Dragons tend to be a bit sparser. This book lets you transform them from big stacks of hit points that breath (bad stuff of your choice) on you into encounters worthy of the titular characters of the game. Note that the character creation options are much more suited to the last version of DND, not so much for the latest iteration. Using Fizban as the "unreliable" narrator gives it a fun flair as well.

Great Book/ Bad Binding
Don't listen to the comments about this not involving Dragonlance. It's a multiverse book that explain how Fizban is Palidine, as well as Buhamat. And how Tahkissis is Tiamat. The information is really good that goes in depth with detail about how the 3 kinds of dragon came to be, even the origin of Dragons and the part they played in building the world's we are familiar with. The backstory isn't fantastic if you love the old stories but it does well with merging all of it into the 5e universe. It's not a Dragonlance campaign setting, I was well aware of this information before buying the book so I was not deceived as some comments suggest. I recommend this book for DM for the added information and the 'overpowered' Dragonborn subraces, the new subclasses are interesting as well for any race to have an established relation with dragon kind in some shape that works. The bad binding though. As soon as I opened the book, the entire contents was not glued well to the cover. You can see strings of glue in the spine of the book as you open it. Just feeling the book for the first time it felt like a hollow aorpuffed spine. The inside cover pages are holding the contents to the cover of the book. I'm not exchanging it for another book because I can fix this bind and make it better myself. Just be aware the cover may not be satisfactory. So I gave this book 5 stars so people can actually see this review and know it is a good book, the cover would have made the product itself a 3 star review but it wouldn't be fair for the contents within. In regard to books with bad binding, of 17 books this is only my second book with a bad binding recieved, the first book was a Players Handbook with pages falling out. A bad spine is very easy to fix so I still give this book a 5 star review because once I fix the spine, it will definitely be worth 5 stars. Keep in mind, this book is transferring information so the books of the past can match with the information of the present D&D supplements. If you run games playing multiple realms, this is definitely worth getting for those campaigns.

A Hoard of Dragon Lore and Tools
Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons is an absolute treasure for any Dungeons & Dragons fan who loves the majesty and mystery of dragons. This book dives deep into all things draconic, offering a wealth of lore, mechanics, and inspiration for both players and Dungeon Masters. Inside, you’ll find expanded dragon lore, new dragon types, and detailed guidance for incorporating dragons into your campaigns in meaningful and exciting ways. The book also introduces new player options, including draconic-themed subclasses, feats, and spells, which add exciting versatility to character creation. The stunning artwork brings the power and beauty of dragons to life, and the additional tables and tools make it easy to create memorable dragon encounters. It arrived in pristine condition, with vibrant colors and a solid binding that feels built to last. Whether you're planning a dragon-centric campaign or just looking to deepen your understanding of these iconic creatures, Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons is a fantastic addition to any D&D library.

I never thought there could be so much about dragons
This book is amazing. It has absolutely everything dragon-related you could possibly hope for in a D&D supplement. It's got gem dragons. It's got new draconic races, subclasses, boons, and feats. It's got Hoard Magic Items, which are really cool. It has amazing draconic lore that I never knew about, like how dragons are closely focused on the Material Plane and have echoes of themselves spread across other worlds. It's got dragon lairs for every type of dragon, complete with maps, hoard quirks, and treasure ideas. It's got a ton of dragon-related creatures, from draconic clerics to draconians (from Dragonlance) to liondrakes and hoard mimics. It even has stat blocks for Bahamut, Tiamat, ancient dragon turtles, greatwyrms (colossal dragons one step harder than ancient), and sea serpents! It's got stats for dragonlances and new dragon spells. Dragons, dragons, dragons! Seriously, Wizards really went all out on this. If you want to run a dragon in your campaign, this will teach you everything from creating a dragon's personality to setting one red dragon apart from another one. I'm super pleased and have really enjoyed all the resources in here.

Dragon Lore
Overall, I like this book. If you love the dragons part of Dungeons and Dragon then this is your book. Mechanic wise it isn't stuff we haven't seen since they were given a test run as UA. I do like the addition of subraces for Dragonborn. I always felt they needed some. I think this book will benefit new gamers over older gamers as this gives people who aren't already familiar with dragon lore lots to work with. That isn't to say that old gamers get nothing, just that new gamers will likely get more mileage from this book then folks already familiar with dragons. Also, I've seen some complaints that WotC has wronged or lied to players by not including Dragonlance. However, WotC never said Dragonlance material was going to be in this book. Its not in any of the advertisements nor did they hype up Dragonlance for this release. I actually haven't seen WotC directly commit to a Dragonlance book. I've seen comments from the Hickman's saying there is going to be a Dragonlance campaign book but A. they don't speak for WotC in an official capacity and B. this was never promoted as a campaign book. You can't blame WotC for something they never promised in this book. All the rumors I've read on the topic place a hypothetical Dragonlance book being released in 2022. So if folks are trying to claim this is a bad book because it didn't include material that was never promised to us for this book or act like WotC has done them dirty that's all based on their own expectations but were not things we were told we were getting in this book. If you like dragons, want more dragon lore, or want additional mechanics for things like Dragonborn then this is your book.

Important addition to my DnD Dragon Collection
Really liked how the book was set up, well-formatted for easy adventures, and a great addition to the entire Dragon book collection for building campaigns.

Great for Tier 4 Gameplay Especially
Great addition to 5e at any tier of play. I think a lot of the magic items are far overdue (how are Monks just now getting dope belts that raise their DC among other enhancements when sorcerors got like 10 items in TCoE?), the alternative dragonborn rules make the race feel less like big lizards, the dragon gifts are a fun idea (and can easily be converted to cool homebrew items), but the best part is the art and addition of new dragons. Is it a required book for your table? Not even slightly. Is it an awesome resource? Yes. Get it for your DM as a gift or something for all the shenanigans you subject them to!
