The weight and heat are soothing and the fluffy texture of the body and limbs is wonderful! I already had a Warmies alligator (which I still use), but I got Shelby because I wanted something with concentrated weight. I have terrible period pains and have found that this does a good job of helping to ease them. I like to heat mine up for 70 seconds so it's pretty hot when it comes out of the microwave, but the heat lasts for quite a while and it's easy for me to heat it up again once it does cool down. Sometimes if I need a higher heat I'll put Shelby on top of my heat pad and let the weight keep the heat exactly where I need it. I find the scent to be pleasant, though I will say that I can usually smell the flax a bit more than the lavender. After half a year of continuous use I can safely say my Warmies sea turtle has held up well with no damage. The only change has been the fluff flattening out a bit on the belly, which should be expected.
