Nomad-2 Platform Bed Frame, Solid Hardwood, King

This bed frame was very easy to assemble (took about 20 minutes with 2 people), and is very, very sturdy. It's a very minimalist design that can go with any décor. Highly recommended!

I really love the look of this bed, and I like the flexibility that comes with being able to stain it in the future if I want. The wood is solid and doesn't feel cheap. The only problem we've had with it is that it squeaks enough to wake me up at night. I have some theories as to why. The front end and back ends of the bed are attached to the sides only by wood pegs, and therefore can't be tightened. This probably isn't a problem if the bed is resting on carpeting or the whole bed is on top of a rug. In our case though, only half of the bed is on a rug and the other half is on wood floor. This makes half of the bed more apt to slide than the other half, which ever so slightly pulls the bed out of a perfect square shape leaving small gaps where the pegs fit into the holes, creating an orchestra of squeaks and creaks every time I turn over. We haven't yet experimented with putting grips on the legs to see if that fixes the issue. I hope so. As it is, it's loud.
