Because when I ride I don't want to talk to people but I want to listen to music. I'm using a BT adapter or the cable to connect to the phone or a music player. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beyond happy *by K***O on December 30, 2016* Works flawlessly! I use a Shark Raw helmet and had no trouble putting them in. The speakers work extreamly well for what they are. Bass is just enough for me and the mids and highs are perfect (at least for me that is). As for the controls, they do work with my andriod phone as stated. I know it says they only work on android, but it surprised me when the play/pause/next track button worked on my iPod Nano. But, sadly, I had no luck in getting the volume buttons to work on my iPod Nano.Overall, very happy with the product. It is definitely something I will recommend. ### ⭐ Broke when installed. *by E***D on September 8, 2018* I purchased the pulse plus with the microphone for a 2 week motorcycle trip. I thought the price was a little high but the ratings were good. I attempted to install them in my helmet today. When I plugged in the microphone jack the wiring pulled out of one end of the microphone housing. It did not appear to me that the wires had even been soldered in place. Without this jack to plug into your device you can't even use the speakers so it is now totally useless. I leave for my trip tomorrow so I used Amazon's link to the seller. It says 2 days for a response so it appears I will be without them for my trip. If you purchase these don't wait until the last minute as I did.
