very good. does what it says on the tin. 61 keys. not bad at all for £77
it just works. easy install. watch out for the transpose keys. example if accidently pressed, then when you press a key eg mid C the note thats activated is D. just keep an eye out for it and check with vst synths that have a keyboard. apart from that. its perfect for the price. 61 keys is the way to go

A good solution
I bought this keyboard as the last one I bought didn't work properly in Cubase. I was grateful and relieved that this one did.

Reasonable budget portable keyboard
Feels a bit flimsy, but otherwise smooth. Mostly what I expected. Doesn't have a port for expression pedal.

Size took me by surprise, longer than I thought it would be
Solid build with decent size keys, works well with standalone apps or with a Daw

Keys have started to stop working
I've had this now for almost 3 years. Unfortunately, some of the keys have stopped working (4). I use the keyboard to compose orchestral and choral music attached to my DAW but I don't play it every day. I'm not sure if I'm expecting too much from it and 3 years is an acceptable wearing out time? In any case I'm now looking for a different make and probably going to pay a little more for better quality.

Affordable, does everything I need it to, and compatible with MacOS Sonoma!
I bought this to replace a midi keyboard which had not passed compatibility testing with the latest OS update, and had stopped working. This Nektar keyboard is great, and works faultlessly. As a heads up, the keys are not weighted and you will need to purchase a sustain pedal separately (my old MAudio sustain works without issue) but considering the low cost it has surpassed my expectations.

Simple, easy to use, good value
I wanted a minimalist keyboard for messing around with Garageband, and this is perfect for that - connected instantly with the app. Although not weighted, the keys have a fair amount of resistance and don’t feel flimsy. The default level of touch sensitivity is slightly overkill for me, but it can be adjusted. Overall build quality is good, and it doesn’t look too techy with loads of buttons, sliders and pads like some MIDI keyboards (and I didn’t want those functions). Considering that it’s one of the cheapest - maybe *the* cheapest - 61 full size key models on the market, it really is excellent value.

Don't Buy This CRAP
DON'T BUY THIS RUBBISH! It's cheap and doesn't work, I wish I'd returned it but couldnt due to delivery. It's supposed to be "key sensitive". It won't play some of the notes unles you have the paws of a bear or Brock Lesnar and hit them hard. The "DAW" that they mention is rubbish and takes time to load and set up each time you turn on the computer and want to play. The "DAW" is not good. I should have got a keybaord that could be played without attaching to the PC, true. But I didn't expect rubbish software where you need to try for ages to make their software do the simple things. Asking chat gpt for ages why this and that isnt importing music or whatever to be told "bitwig isnt really good for this and this isnt possible". For chat gpt to tell you something is rubbish takes A LOT

I had previously purchased an extremely cheap smaller keyboard thinking it would be good to teach myself to play. Turns out I was so very wrong, the small and awkwardly stiff keys and the simple lack of more keys wound up being extremely demotivating. Now I bought this Nektar 49 key and I immediately could tell this was the one. The build quality is pretty cheap feeling but not in a way that you'll notice while actually using it because the keys themselves feel great and theres no flexing or creeking! For being a fraction of the price for any other decent midi keyboard I cannot praise it enough, I liked it so much I bought the 61 key version which I found was the perfect size for most songs I want to play. Works great in Synthesia too as shown in the pictures!
