COTTON SHEETS ARE THE ONLY SHEETS THAT HV A THREAD COUNT. There’s a fun little word game sheet makers play; it’s called throw out a random number (usually in the thousands) to trick ppl into thinking the number is referring to or directly related to the thread count per square inch. HOWEVER: ITS JUST A RANDOM, ARBITRARY NUMBER THAT MEANS NOTHING!! ONLY COTTON SHEETS HV A THREAD COUNT!! ONLY COTTON SHEETS CAN BE REFERRED TO AS PERCALE!! AND THE ONLY SHEETS THAT WILL NEVER PILL MUST BE MADE W/AT LEAST 250 THREADS PER SQ IN. (250 thread count). (These are not even made of cotton!!) Anything above 250 T.C. is just a bonus. The higher the GENUINE thread count, the cooler the sheets will feel and they will likely outlive you, esp when you get up around 800 thread count (Egyptian or Supima cotton) BE AN INFORMED CONSUMER. I have not had the sheets too long and they are starting to get little balls where my legs and feet are.
