If you own a caravan or motorhome, the Bosch BBH6POWGB Series 6 Athlet ProPower Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner may be the best vacuum on the market. It's a Bosch, so it is well made and works perfectly. But for my circumstances, the killer features are that it is free-standing, rather than requiring a charging base-station. The free-standing action is very positive. There is no ambiguity as to when the vac is 'parked'. The cleaning head is very robust, with proper rubber wheels underneath, so the vac tracks across wooden floors very positively, and does not skate around, like cheaper vacs with hard plastic wheels do. By not having to lug the vac back to a charging base to recharge it, you can just plug it in to the closest wall socket. The barrel connector is at the base of the slim handle section. Just before the main machine body. So no bending over to plug the charger in. But the reason why I say this could be the best vacuum for motorhomes and caravans, is because the machine comes packaged in three sections, the handle section, the main machine body, and the brush head. But unlike every similar machine I looked at, these three sections connect using two large, round, spring-loaded buttons. meaning that the machine can split back down into three sections again for storage. The three sections connect via a sort of USB-A plug. There is no physical cable joining the three sections. You could store the three components of this vacumn cleaner, in three different locations in a caravan, and only click them back together when you need to use the vacumn cleaner. It is a genius solution. I am almost tempted to say that whoever designed this vacumn cleaner, owns a caravan themselves. Recommended.

Really good hoover. Very powerful. It has 3 settings. I only use on the 2nd as the power is really strong. Can be used on both hard flooring and carpet. The only thing is, I can't do the edges with this as there are no attachments. It's just an upright hoover. My reason for purchasing was to use around the dinner table as mu little one always makes a mess. But I now use it for everything and use my cordless shark to do the edges with the attachment nozzle. But we'll worth the money! Does take along time to charge (4/5hrs) but lasts a good 4 days, 3x a day.

Ok, so you might like Dyson, but you might not like the price. Well Bosch only use premium engineering parts. They have an outstanding design and engineering history and they mainain their reputation by selling premium quality products. Great hoover, well made, fantastic suction and settings whatever your floor type. You can buy the accessories in other places for about £20-30 quid should you need them. Great product.

I have always used a 'traditional upright vaccum cleaner'. Decided that I would try a cordless vaccum cleaner for a change. It arrived quickly and very well packaged. I have a mixture of hard flooring and carpeting. It copes well with both, and to me, the suction feels powerful, especially on carpets. Its lightweight, manouvres well and easy to use. It also looks good!! Its battery life has so far been more than adequate and recharging is easy.

The Bosch serie 6 Athlet works very well plenty of sucction power. A little heavier than I thought but will live with that. A bit difficult to manoeuvre on carpets though and very hard to push when using the motorised brush also a bit noisy .Stands by itself next to a power point to charge. Dust container a little on the small side but adeqate for my needs. Overall a good product and a Bosch vacuum at this price can't be bad.

Excellent little machine. Unfortunately it is all held together by two catches which easily break.

I had the same type of Bosch Athlet for about 10 years And it doesn’t work right. So I bought it again as I really liked it. I didn’t think anything would be better than this. Because it is very easy to remove my long hair from the vacuum cleaner head. I think the new one is a little righter and quitter than my old one. Sucks any bits well and so easy to move around I’m very happy with it.

This is my 2nd vac of this model, the 1st lasting well over 6 years. Middle power setting is sufficient for most surfaces. On this setting, a single charge is enough to clean a 4 bed house. It is light enough to easily clean a stair carpet and being self standing can be parked in any convenient place near a power socket. The dust container is easy to remove and empty. Little to criticise in the design but it would be a huge bonus if the battery was a replaceable pack as capacity rapidly reduces after 5-6 years use.
