The reviews led me to believe that it was a great option for increasing storage for an iphone. That part is true. But here are the cumbersome realities:*AUDIO-MUSIC FILES: There is no option to create a playlist. You can only play the songs that are in one folder. Once a song plays, you can't go back and re-play it, you will get a message that says "file not available." Then you have to disconnect and re-connect the device several times, and then re-open that folder and try again. I often need to download and listen to lectures from online classes when I miss the live-stream and sometimes they are 90 mins. If I pause, and go back a little to re-listen to a part that I did not understand fully, I often can't re-play, and get the 'file not available message.' This is a pain, as I have to disconnect, remove SD, put it back in, re-connect, re-open the file, and try to remember where it was that I paused. Frustrating. It interrupts concentration while trying to learn.* When using it to move photos from the phone to the SD card, you have to manually select each photo and then copy and paste them into a folder on the SDcard. Then you have to go back into your camera roll on the phone to manually delete the pix that you just copied from your phone, and then delete them from your 'recently deleted' folder. This may not seem cumbersome, but when you are travelling on vacation and need to clear space, it can take a lot of time especially if you are in an exciting place and take lots of photos.*Sometimes I plug it in and the phone does not register it. Have to unplug, re-plug several times before I get the message that it's trying to communicate w/the phone.*This device can burn up your power quickly so pay attention. Your phone can't charge while you're using this. So if you want to play soft music at night to help you fall asleep, you'll be discharging your phone battery, which you need to remember to plug in early inthe morning to charge before going out for the day.PROS: I absolutely love that the micro SD card is removable and can be put into a laptop to access files & photos. This is easier and more direct than dealing with itunes or iphoto.In summary, this device has solved the problem of increasing space on my iphone, but it is not as seamless and easy to use as I had hoped. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I was looking and hoped for! *by V***L on Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2016* I have an iPhone 6s and an SJCAM4000 (knockoff GoPro) and my problem was that the app for my SJCAM wasn't working properly and I couldn't transfer the video from my camera to my phone via the camera's wifi (the app has since been fixed). But my camera uses a micro SD card. So, after reading many reviews, some said it worked for them, some said it didn't, I decided it was worth the risk.Happy to say it opened my SJCAM video files AND allowed me to open them in iMovies so I could edit them! THAT was my primary concern.My secondary concern was that I travel a lot and would like to load movies onto my phone. I have a lot of them in AVI format, as well as on Vudu. This way it doesn't take up any memory on my iPhone. So this little gadget does the job!And my third concern was that I have my iPhone in a water proof case, so the access to the charging port is small. I've even had to trim some of my charging cords, but the lightning connector fit perfectly!A) YES, you have to load them into the TIMESPA's app, then into your phone. The only way to watch them is in the app, but so what? Same as Vudu, Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, etc.B) It also lets me create folders and sub folders both in the app and on the micro SD card and copy pics and video files back and forth.C) No, you can't edit commercial movies (as far as I can tell).BONUS, you can be charging your phone while accessing the micro SD card. ### ⭐ No way to move a video file out of the iusb app to the ipad storage *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2016* There is no way to move a video file out of the iusb app to the ipad storage where it can be edited. This should be clearly communicated in the description of the product. Makes being able to edit the video in apps like iMovie impossible.
