Stainless Steel 304 Compression Fitting to connect 1/4 inch OD tube x 1/4 NPT Male thread Coupler, for brass copper stainless steel tubing

Used to replace the brass fitting that kept breaking

I had a dishwasher connection that used 1/2" copper tubing with flare fitting attaching to valve. Replace the valve with 1/2" compression and needed this fitting to cut off flare and use this fitting to make transition to use stainless steel braided hose. The 1/2" NPT threads on the fitting seemed a little tight in connecting the stainless steel braided hose. I added some food grade anti-seize thread compound to make disassembly easy later.

I use these fittings to connect tubing to pumps in a commercial application. Most of my pumps require 316 stainless to handle the chemicals they’re pumping but a few of them are fine with 304 as they’re neither highly acidic nor caustic. These have worked great for those pumps and they’re a fraction of the cost of 316 fittings. They have a nice finish on them that you’d expect, without any burrs or anything like that. Good quality and value for sure.

I had to get a brass sleeve in place of the SS ones provided as they didn't fit the 1/2" size stainless pipe.

Used 2 of these right off the batt on 1/2" stainless coil that I used for a shadetree pool water heater. I used these connectors to adapted each end of a 50' 1/2" stainless coil to fit standard 3/4" water hose connector. I then put the coil inside a propane convection heater. With the current pump I am getting a 45 deg water temp rise going through the heater on about 2/3 heat setting. These fittings are fairly simple to install and the two that I have used is working great. Can probably extend our pool season another month. I may make a 2nd heater before next spring. That way can open the pool much earlier.

Made very well with some weight to the items. However these do not fit a basic residential application. I did not understand that they do not fit over 1/2 inch basic copper tubing used in home plumping.

This is an excellent pack of compression fittings. They are very well made, works great.
